i am a globetrotter...

So.  I've arrived successfully, the flight across was a *lot* shorter than i thought it would be.  I saw transformers2 (Which took up a HUUUGE portion of the trip, since i didn't realize it's almost THREE HOURS LONG).  It was exactly what you'd think it would be.  Three hours of robots fighting with people running about underneath.  In short, it was spectacular.

Unfortunately, this means i wasn't able to get terribly far into walden :(.  But part of that isn't my fault, since the old lady next to me was a pretty awesome chatterbox.  she kept telling me all these things about her home in pennsylvania, and how she's going to portugal and all kinds of other things.  Long story short, i was only able to get like, 30 pages into walden, but i made a new friend.  I realize the next sentence is going to sound like i was expecting a lot less from walden, but it's INCREDIBLY thought provoking.  that's another reason i'm only 30 pages in, i'll go back and reread passages again and again, thinking about what he's actually saying.

When my plane finally landed, i discovered the taxi company i had told to come pick me up...didn't...

I had to withdraw a bunch of british money and pay some random taxi driver to take me to my apartment (apparently he was an ILLEGAL taxi driver???  He was like, "Whew, good thing we didn't get pulled over, this liscense? it's no good).  so i felt kind of creeped out.  and the guy at reception was...fine i guess.  no complaints, i had to put down my creditcard info again...i'm beginning to feel like it's out there EVERYWHERE.  my view is nothing impressive, i'll post pictures of everything to fbook tomorrow, since this place actually is REALLY nice, considering i'm the only person here.  i can SEE my building from where i'm sitting right now (in the living room).

This place has a kitchen, two full baths, two full bedrooms, a living room, a balcony, and several closets.  I feel like it might be a little excessive, considering i'm only one person, and it's not like i'm going to be making a ton of friends here and throwing a bunch of parties.

It's already 12:15 here, so i'm going to read a little and *hopefully* go to bed by 1.  considering i don't really know where i'm going tomorrow, i'm just going to wake up early, show up at the building, and be like, "Can you find some of my coworkers?  I am in need of help."  I also lied to the customs agent, and told him i was here for pleasure, and not business.  I'm not really sure why i did that, but i did.  then he was like, "Who're you staying with at that address?" and i was like, "uhhh..." Because it's a company owned apartment.  anyway, i'm off to read!
