Zaaz Instructions

  • Information: The first part of using omgas_zaaz is to put the appropriate information at the beginning of your post. This should look something like this:

Location: This is for the location for your scene. Ex. Venture Compound, Devil's Nest, or Cafe in New York
Time: This is approximately the time in which the scene occurs. Ex. Monday Morning, or October 17th, Afternoon
Open to: Applicable to open scenes. Here you cite who the scene is directed toward. Ex. The Monarch or Anyone in Mordhaus
Rating: This serves to inform outside readers of what your scene contains. Rate according to Foul Language, Violence, Disturbing Imagery, or Sexual Situations.

To make it easy, copy and paste from this box.

  • Posting: This community is for third-person RP sessions, either script or prose style. You can use zaaz either for doing scenes or for posting RP logs from AIM or e-mail.

If you're posting logs, you need to post them behind a livejournal cut. If you can't fit the entire log behind the cut do to a length limit, post a link to an .html or .htm file.

If you're doing scenes, be aware that the threads will always collapse at 50 comments, and there is no avoiding it.

It is possible to do threading in zaaz. This means that your opening post is a generic starter and that you treat each person who leaves a comment as a different scene. Some people don't understand threading / prefer not to do it because it confuses them; but it is allowed.

An example of threading would be if someone were to post their character watching T.V. in Mordhaus, and Toki were to talk to them in one conversation, and then Triana were to talk to them in another. They are two completely independent scenes starting from two different responses on the same prompt.
  • Tagging: You type in your tag to a zaaz post you participate in by clicking either "tag" or this image:

:and type your character's tag in the slot available, as well as the location if applicable.

The importance of tags is that it allows you to organize your scenes by who is involved. You can search under their tag and find all the zaaz entries correlating with that character and anyone who has played that character.

You can find location tags here. Character tags are beneath the character's name on the taken character page. It's important that you use the character tag accurately so that your entry is catagorized properly to your character.
