The Final Destination (2009) -- probably better in 3D
Mia and I watched The Final Destination. It is with great sadness that I report: it is not showing in 3D locally. :( Which is really too bad, because it would have been so much better in 3D. The fourth installment of the franchise follows the same formula of the previous films, only less sick. It's cheap thrills. But it didn't feel too long or short -- at 82 minutes, it's just the right length.
- This redhead looks like a cross between Evan Rachel Wood and that British secretary in The Devil Wears Prada. And the brunette looks so much like a younger, less fierce Debi Mazar!
- There's also a scene straight out of Chuck Palahniuk's short story Guts. Duuuude. I think part of it was cut from the local screening though. It was far less gross than expected.
- The funniest part of this movie is when this girl's leg gets crushed in the escalator gears and she immediately starts spitting out blood. It's a pretty long way from the leg to the gastrointestinal tract!
