Considering that when I set up my 2010 diary this year, I went through writing in all these great bands and shows I'd see in the first 3 months of this year, I have seen very few bands so far.
Oh wait. Make that none.
Muse and Lily Allen were supposed to be at Big Day Out two weeks ago, but I sold the ticket to scrape together money for other shows.
The Killers have cancelled their Enmore show. I don't think I really need to say anything more on that, but everyone who's texted me, written on my facebook wall, sent me messages and polar bears on here -- thank you. It's nice to know when I babble about these things you guys listen and understand, heh.
The Killers, obviously (or not?) aren't going to be playing Good Vibes on Sunday either which leaves exactly zero bands I want to see so that's a washout.
My Chemical Romance is cancelling all of their Australian appearances too because ~Gerard has a sore throat~.
George Michael, you're next and I swear to God, if you play the hero and give your trucks to Whitney fucking Houston I will hunt you down and attach wheels to you so you can be your OWN truck. But that's in a whole week, there's loads of time for that to go tits up. I suggest we have an issue with the Burswood Dome deflating. Collapsing with a puncture would work, and we could all sit around and scratch our heads over why it may be a poor idea to have a large venue with a balloon for a roof.
Just sayin'.
Lastly, Placebo, I'm looking at you pretty hard. You've postponed/cancelled shows fairly recently. Don't you dare, don't you dare.
Perhaps 2010 is the anti-2007! 2007 was the year of bands, 2010 is the year of good intentions.
