Internet Shopping

I love internet shopping. Dear lord, there are few things I would rather do. When I used to work full time (and go to the gym regularly *gripe*), I'd get home on a Friday night and get a glass of wine (or five) and go internet shopping and blow my paycheck. Oh dear. Of course, back then I spent too much money on merch which now rots in a box in the spare room ebcause it's all horrendously unflattering.

Internet shopping has all the shiney newness of real life shopping, but with the delayed gratification of something arriving in the mail a few days later. I love that part, you lose hope and get whiney and sad that it's never going to come and presto! something comes in the mail and you have new things!

Internet shopping for clothes and shoes is decidedly dicey though. I know my size really well. I'm pretty good at knowing what suits me or more accurately, what won't suit me. But sizes can be such tricky bastards and I certainly do not have the patience to engage in a returning cycle. Ever. I try and do all the measurement comparing and the like but sometimes it's a lost cause.

Internet shopping is that little thing someone can do to get hold of something you never thought you could actually get a hold of. The decent Crest Whitestrips (ooh that reminds me!) that they only sell in America, the black version of the dream red shoes you bought in Singapore, or a book that's been out of print forever and some dumbass lecturer prescribed.

Hell, it allows you to realise how ripped off we get for certain products in Australia. Cosmetics in particular, I cannot get over how much money you can save by asking the internets to help you.

Out there, waiting to get to my mailbox, all I have is a Good Vibes ticket and a package from ChemistDirect with Palmer's body glow and a dry shampoo in it. *sigh*

This is totally stating the obvious. I apologise.

In other news, the face leprosy's growth appears to have been retarded but it is not in retreat yet. Eh.

...I totally just bought American Crest White Strips, yeah baby.
