Watching people write things, particularly as they hear them, is some kind of creepy compulsion of mine. Some people meet people and imagine them naked, I imagine their handwriting. Also, I have totally OCD notewriting techniques and I just cannot write as I hear and it makes me happy that he can't either. I'm far too OCD to draw things instead of write them but eh.
Heh, there's a kid in my teaching unit that looks EXACTLY LIKE CONOR OBERST. Every time he walks in, I want to stand up and yell "OH HAY CONOR OBERST, I HAVE A LOT OF YOUR CDS COME AND SIT NEXT TO ME." and then I remember he's just a 17 year old kid whose name I don't know and I should probably not do that.
Then again, five years ago I would already be in love with him and doing everything in my power to know everything I could about him. Heh.
Oh man, I just looked up wikipedia and Conor Oberst is not only older than me but nearly 30 now. I am reassured that he is older than me and alarmed that he is nearly 30.
I am also reliving my love for Placebo. Something about Brian Molko's brain patterns work with mine.
