I heard that working for the government is good, but DAMN! I had no idea just HOW good!
I'm still in training for my new job but everything seems so excellent so far. I couldn't really ask for more. We get to eat as much Mentos as we can handle and the kitchen has a dishwasher! Actually those are probably the most insignificant perks, I don't know why I chose to highlight those two. I'm sure you'll all hear me gushing about my new job soon enough.
Working in the city is rad, why hasn't anyone ever told me that? Each lunch time I have a heap of people to visit! The last two days I've hung out with Dale at his coffee shop because it's just around the corner from my work. He makes me half-strength coffees and they still send me nuts! I even started serving a couple of people today because Dale was busy making coffees, I guess it's only fair since I scam free food.
My training is full time for 2.5 weeks so I'm not really doing much else with myself. I went and saw Low last night and they were brilliant, but I expected that.
Ummmm Ema told me a modem arrived in the mail for me today, so that means my internet should be connected really soon. I've been waiting so long that I'm not really excited about it anymore. Until I get the internet connected at home it's still best to contact me via my mobile or home phone, because I haven't been using the net at work (yet...!).
