Day 12, evening, ooc Gisela's last post.

Apr 10, 2008 10:21

Gisela sat quietly on a bench outside. She had been feeling weird all day, at first she thought it had something to do with her illness but that wasn't quite it. There was this uncomfortable feeling surrounding her and making her feel almost dizzy.

She sighed and took in the evening sky. She was probably just missing home, she thought.

Gunter saw his daughter from a distance; he had missed her all day, and he smiled, happy to see her. But as he drew closer, he suddenly let out a horrified squark.

"Gisela!" he yelped, "Your hair! Your beautiful hair, what happened!" he wailed and threw himself down in front of her.

Gisela lifted an eyebrow at the man. Great.. he was just what she needed. "It's just hair daddy"

"But it's *your* hair!" he pouted. "It was bad enough that you dyed it." He folded his arms on her knees and looked up at her, sniffling. "You have such beautiful hair. There's utterly no need for you to change it."

That just made her utterly uncomfortable, "hey!" She stood up not wanting to be touched by him, "I'm not your bloody daughter!"

For once in his life, Gunter was speechless. He just knelt there, gobsmacked.

"Are you daft?" He didn't look that smart to her, "I'm not your Gisela. I'm not from her." She said, thinking he didn't understand her.

Blinking, he clambered to his feet. "Oh..." he said distantly, "I see that now. Oh. Oh dear. I do belive that I need to sit down." He fell back on the bench with a thump and looked up at her mournfully. "You even sound like her," he said wonderingly. He smiled. "You're just as pretty as she is."

Now it was her turn to look shocked. Was he actually being nice to her? "Well.. euhm thanks.. I guess."

"Two Giselas..." he shook his head. "Sixty years ago I would have been worried. Two Giselas at that age would have brought the castle walls crashing down around them." He sighed. "Still, she was so utterly adorable, even if she did raise hell." He smiled. "Please forgive me my poor manners and allow me to introduce myself. I am Lord Gunter von Christ, although I think that you know that all ready." Holding out his hand for hers, he waited paitently for her to respond.

She took a step back, not shaking his hand. He might be nice to her now but that didn't mean she trusts him. "How do you mean sixty years ago? I'm sure you weren't even born sixty years ago."

"Oh, my. You mean that Demons where you come from have such short lifespans?" Gunter frowned. "That's terrible, to have the same short life as a human. Gisela, my Gisela, is seventy years old. I am over two hundred." He fluttered his eyelashes at her. "But I refuse to be more specfic than that."

"What!? Seventy, two hundred..?" She looked quite shocked again, "you people get that old while looking like.. that?" She shook her head, weird.. "There are no demons on earth were I come from."

"This isn't Earth," said Gunter. "His Majesty, King Yuri is from Earth. His soul was concieved here and sent there for safe keeping. We summoned him back here to Shin Makou when the time was right." He hesitated. "I am a Demon tribesman, like my Gisela and nearly everyone else in this castle. There aren't many humans there." Comprehension dawned and his eyes widened slightly, but he covered his shock well. *This* Gisela was human, and the thought of her living a short, human life and then dying so soon made his heart ache.

"I know you all are demons with weird powers and stuff. Your daughter healed me a couple of times with that green light of hers. I didn't know demons lived longer though."

"Some of us live longer than others. The High Priestess at the Temple is nine hundred years old, although admittedly she's from an unusual branch of the tribe." Gunter rubbed his hands together slowly. "Generally, the more powerful you are the longer you live. I...I wouldn't want to live to be nine hundred. I'd loose everyone I've ever loved that way. My greatest fear is that I'll outlive my daughter. I can't imagine anything more painful."

Nine hundred?? What the hell? "Does that Priestess look really, really old? Or young like all of you?"
She shuddered feeling that strange feeling come over her again.
