Rounding a corner, Wolfram saw his brother up ahead and hurried down the hall toward him, calling out his name.

I stop when I hear my little brother's voice. Turning with a smile I greet him as though I don't fear he's going to yell at me for something.

"Hello Wolfram."

Panting a bit as he caught his breath again, he nodded a greeting in reply then spoke. "Did you see what's going on?"

[c_weller]

"Yes, unfortunately. It seems they have a new plan. I can't say I think all that much of it, but His Majesty supports it."

[fierywolfram]

"Why wasn't I consulted?!" He was getting huffier now, his eyes glaring.

"I believe if you would like to know the answer to that one, you would have to take it up with Gwendal. He seemed to have this epiphany all on his own. His Majesty found fault with housing the doubles in a safer place and Gwendal convinced him this method, this event, would help security by judging the abilities of our visitors. So that we know what we're... dealing with."

[fierywolfram]

"As if they'd show their full power in such an overt way if they do mean to harm!" He scoffed. "Did Gwendal ask you if this was a wise idea first?"

What can I say, he's right, and I as much told Gwendal so. Did he ask? HA.

"........ Gwendal seemed ... His mind was set."

"I can't believe he didn't ask me about this!" He protested, even though Conrad wasn't arguing back. He'd wanted the doubles locked up in the dungeon since day one. "So what do you know about it? They expect us all to fight?"

"Would you like to refuse Wolfram?" That would be interesting. "I'm sure no one would think any less of you."

I have no idea who he's up against. Once I saw Yuri's name I stormed off too irritated to look at any more. Indeed I don't even know who I'm up against. But I can guess.

He scoffed again. "I'll take them all on if I have to." Nobody ever said the youngest son wasn't brave - if emotionally foolish most times.

"I don't believe that will be necessary Wolfram. I've said it before, I'm sure I'll say it many more times.. You should fight with a smart head not a hot one. You wasn't Yuri to be proud of you don't you?" I smile gently. I know he would love a chance to impress the young King. Even if he would never say so.

"Yuuri!" He said suddenly as if startled. "He can't fight that.. that... imposter! I'll have to step in for him."

"Now now Wolfram. If Yuri decides.. I mean, We'll both stick very close to His Majesty. There is no doubt about that."

[fierywolfram]

"I know he... he can take care of himself. Sort of.... But I have to protect him. He really approved of all this? He's so ridiculous!" He huffed.

"Here lately Wolfram, it seems we're the only one's that are worried about His Majesty's protection."

I sighed a bit and shrugged my shoulders. "You know Yuri. It sounded fun. He likes excitement and he likes making others feel welcome."
