They had arrived in the village too late in the evening to hope for any food from the one inn, but the mayor's wife had saved some roast and bread from her own table for them. She was already reaching for the boy he carried the moment he was free of those gathered. After checking him over briefly, she gently took the boy away from Gun and knelt on the floor. With the child settled on her lap, she curled over him. A green light spread from her hands to envelope all of her and the child, and everything and one around her was forgotten.

Best to be ignored than to have someone comment on how he acquired expensive clothes or where he'd been.

The mayor stepped forward quickly. "The baker says he knows who the child belongs to. We can put him up in my room until his folks are brought." He then took the boy from her and bellowed at the people to get out of his way as he made his way to the back of the inn.
Gisela sighed and rose just enough to plant herself in a chair. "Thank you, Gun. I don't think he would have survived if you hadn't brought him so quickly."

A woman started to whine and I glared at her. "I said we're not treating people anymore."
She muttered something and I gasped. "What did you say!?" How dare she insult me! I stormed towards her, if she wasn't going to leave voluntarily I'll give her a little nudge.

Of course, then she had to go storming off after one of the more reluctant villagers.
"Cheri! Please don't give me more work to do!"

"I turned back to Gisela and Gun. You look like you need a healer yourself." I said to Gisela.

I went to the owner of this, not so well kept, inn. Within an hour everything was ready for departure.

When she saw that everything was ready to go, she approached the wagon. She was going to thank Cheri for the help, but managed to forget by the time she got there. She climbed up onto the wagon and looked around. "Where did Gun go?"
((OOC: Belle, I assume Gun would have taken this opportunity to go beat some sense into someone.))

Hopefully he wouldn't forget that vow now that he probably had a little brain damage.
Oh well.
He was approaching the wagon, trying to look nonchalant and hope that no one missed his presence.
"You called, my lady?"
