Day 95, Evening
Ken spent most of the day unconscious - sleeping. He'd been dead to the world until around noon, and then drifted in and out for a while longer. Then, for about an hour, he lay in bed, staring at the wall, thinking. Thinking about yesterday, and Julia and how she was never coming back, and wondering if Gunter made it out of that encounter okay. Toward the end of that hour, boredom won over common sense and he resolved to find out for himself.
He was still sore, and sitting up made him a little dizzy (which could also be due to sleeping through two meals), but he got to his feet and decided he felt much improved from yesterday. He should be fine... (Of course, he thought he was fine yesterday, and wound up hitching a ride on Jennifer's back.)
His clothes were wrinkled from sleeping in them so long, but he didn't want to try and change. He raked a hand through his hair as he stepped out into the hall. He wasn't really sure where to go, but after asking a maid, he was given directions to Yozak's room (apparently they roomed together).
It took longer than he thought it would to find the room, and he was feeling achy and tired when he raised a fist and knocked on the door.
