Day 91, Mid-morning

May 31, 2012 15:03

It felt odd, to be walking through the castle with Wolf. Out of habit or instinct, he drifted a little behind the other. Gwendal had made him Wolf’s responsibility, and he didn’t want to disrespect that. Though in a sense, that part of it didn’t feel very different. Wolf had been taking care of him all along. It just hadn’t been official. And, he supposed, Wolf would have more say in what he could and could not do. More control. But that didn’t bother him much, as he came to trust Wolf, trust that he would not abuse his role.

He didn’t know where they were going. They weren’t headed back to his cell, as far as he could tell. But then, he hadn’t spent a lot of time exploring the castle before… before that thing that happened…

He held his tongue for a while, just content to be out of the infirmary, away from questions, putting distance between himself and the events of this morning. After days of boredom, reading and thinking, today was already too eventful.

He chewed his lip a bit when he realized this was the way toward the baths. That didn’t mean they were going there, necessarily, but he couldn’t recall anything else that lay this way. “Um, where are we going?”
