Day 81: Wolf's World, Stables Morning

Sep 26, 2011 01:17

Wolfram yawned and blinked several times. The boards under him were hard and he distinctly remembered going to sleep in Geika’s bed, even though Geika hadn’t been there. A familiar smell assaulted his nostrils. He felt dirty and disoriented. Where was he? He lifted his hand to rub at his faced and jolted upwards from what seemed like an explosion ( Read more... )

Wolf stayed lying on his side as he looked up at Yuuri. He rested an arm behind his head and smiled. Somehow, he had to rein in his feelings and desires and force himself back into control. One way to do that was to draw upon the former Maoh’s strength and fill himself with that spirit. He linked their fingers together. “I know.” He nodded softly. “I love you, Yuuri. I wish I could be at your side forever, but I can’t be. Who knows when we can see each other again? That’s why I’m indecisive. I don’t want to hurt anyone.” He ran a hand through his hair, finally managing to settle down a little. He couldn’t bring himself to hurt Yuuri or Murata no matter how much he wanted to. “My body wants you, so does my heart. But my head says it’s a bad idea and it will hurt other people and in the end, probably hurt us too. You want me. You want to be with me still after all this time. It makes it okay, it makes what I went through easier to deal with. It wasn’t just me being selfish. It gives me strength.” He glowed with warmth as he gazed up at Yuuri, “Kiss me again.” He requested softly. “Give me enough for a lifetime. Then we can go back downstairs.” He stroked Yuuri’s fingers gently. “I think... I think it’s going to be alright.”

Murata beamed as he got the reaction he was expecting. “Ah, Yuuri.” He chuckled to himself. “I was just teasing.” He found some cold tea in the fridge and poured it. “Better have that ginger ale ready for Wolf and probably fix them both up plates. Ok?”

"Anything you want." Yuuri had no fight against a kiss. Maybe alittle more..."I'll give you enough for a lifetime and the next." His finger tightened gently in Wolframs hair, pushing him close enough to kiss.

"Oh!" Yuuri finally remembered the ginger ale and went to pour a cup for when Wolfy would come back. He also set a plate for both his future self and Wolfy.
"Do you think they'll be down soon? They've been talking for awhile-"

"Don't worry, we're here." As if on cue the elder Yuuri walked, He was dressed just as he had been earlier, his button up shirt nice and neat. "Sorry...we had alot to talk about."

"I don't doubt it, Wolfy do you still feel sick? There's curry here for you guys."

"Murata," Yuuri greeted his friend, knowing that his younger self probably filled him in on what was going on- if Murata wasn't already aware of it.

(We were keeping it secretive like this, right?~)

Wolf lost himself in Yuuri for that one precious moment in time. He gave himself over without thinking about anything else. It was all they would ever have. He knew in his heart that they were doing the right thing for both of them. He’d be able to let go, and Yuuri could find some peace. There was a world of difference in the knowledge that you are loved instead of always having that question lingering. What if... What if... Now he knew the answer. He could stay now on younger Yuuri’s world without worrying about what might have been and he could do what his Yuuri wanted him to do. Find Happiness and most especially ... live. He could hold that in his heart forever. It was like a dream, a fairytale that should have been and would still have a happy ending in spite of the pain. They would be together in another life.

Wolf stretched his arms as he appeared behind Yuuri. He’d managed to take a moment to rearrange his hair and tie it back neatly in the ribbon. Since he was wearing Yuuri’s shirt, however, there was no way to hide evidence. He had much more color in his cheeks now, and looked less pale and upset. “I’m good.” He smiled, and his eyes sparkled when he did. It was something that he’d lost and found again. A fierce determination to survive, to live and to love as hard as any warrior would. He smiled up at older Yuuri, “More than fine.” Those were the words he said, but what was really in his eyes was: I love you.
And he was.

“Sorry to worry you.” He glanced at the prepared food. “Shinou’s balls, I’m STARVING!” He declared as his stomach rumbled. He sat down to attack the food with a flourish.

After recovering from the shock of hearing Shinou's name in such a fashion, Murata glanced shrewdly between the pair and gave a knowing smirk. “Aha, good then. Younger Yuu-Chan has filled me in. We’ve got to go back to get rid of a pesky wizard. We have to do it quickly because of the time difference. Ulrike is only going to be able to slow things down here for a little while. Good thing I know just what we need to do!” He gave a two fingered peace sign and a silly grin.

Yuugi gaped shamelessly at the sparkling way that Wolfy entered the room. He was so...so happy! So freely and openly smiling! "Y-you feel better, then?" Yuuri asked, holding out the plate to the blond companion before it was snatched up to be eaten.

"So you know how to fix what's going on. Good news." Yuuri also took his plate and began to eat. But he was quick about it, knowing they were short on time.

The younger of the Yuuris looked back to Murata. Letting Wolfy eat at his leasure. "Then you know what to do? Do you really think you can help get rid of leisure the wizard that easily?"

“Much better, Really.” Wolf gave Younger Yuuri an appreciative smile, he practically glowed. “I haven’t felt this good in a very long time. I mean... really good. “ He looked like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders.

“If the four of us are there, how could we lose?” Murata gave another confident grin and launched into a plan. “Even if we aren’t, Yuuri’s been given enough ...” He fished for a word... “Inspiration... that he and I can take care of it if for some reason Shinou doesn’t let all four of us go back and sends you two to your world.” He chuckled, “It’ll be easier with you both there. It’s just a matter of redirecting the device appropriately so it implodes in on itself and sucks the people back to the world they came from.. Thus severely reducing numbers and giving Yuuri a chance to get to the wizard and corner him. So, my plan is to have two of you disable the device and Yuuri while I take care of the wizard. Ok?” He eyed older Yuuri, “Of course, we won’t be separated. He keeps the device near him at all times. He’ll just be distracted with two Yuuris about with the same amount of power.” He grinned, pleased with himself.

Wolf had only just noticed Murata’s presence. “Eh?” He blushed slightly. “You’re older looking. I like you with long hair.” He noted, but didn’t seem to be uncomfortable. He was getting through the meal pretty quickly himself.

“And you look quite well in my ribbon. I have to envy my other self!” Murata winked. “That is if you stick with him.”

“That’s none of your business!” Wolf said hotly and clenched a fist.

"Well, that's great!" Yuuri smiled, although he couldn't believe it but Wolfy seemed to have made a 360. It was good to see and lightened his heart especially when they'd have to go back to the nightmare that was Shin Makokus war.

"So once the device is deactivated the troops will basically vanish." It sounded like good knew to him.

The older Yuuri spoke. "I'm pretty sure that my skill is alittle higher then my younger self."

"Are you insult yourself? Really?"

"I'm not insulting you, I'm just pointing out that if for some reason you two don't end up back in Shin Makouku with us that me and Murata would still be aright. I haven't just been sitting around doing nothing, Bobs been training me ever since I came back. I might not be his successor but I'm still a powerful Mazoku and, as he said, I shouldn't let my powers go to waste." Yuuri was confident that together they could take down the wizard.

"Murata," Both Yuuris spoke at once, trying to stop the teasing. The elder Yuuri stood up roughly and took empty dishes to the sink. "We should get going. there are better fitting clothes for you two in my room, you don't want to feel uncomfortable in the midst of battle.

Yuuri wasn't quite comfortable with the way his older self seemed to be relaxed. They were about to head to war, weren't they? A terrible place where Shin Makouku was...becoming his worst nightmare. Yuuri knew that he had a hard time accepting things right away, and sure, maybe he was alittle dismissive unless he sees it with his own eyes...maybe his older self was like that, too.

Once he was finished eating like a starving dog, Wolf moved closer to elder Yuuri and fiddled gently with his hair. “It’s not a pretty site there.” He warned softly. “It’s war, Yuuri. A lot of people have died.” He wanted to lay it down straight to prepare him. “I’m always ready for battle, but yes our stuff should be dry now.” He nodded to the other two. He was ready as he would ever be but he would take advantage of the time he had with Yuuri until the last minute.

Murata straightened and his glasses glinted with determination. “Alright then. Let’s get these two changed and I’ll draw the water.”

Wolf also reached for younger Yuuri’s hand and squeezed it. “Everything’s going to be ok.”
It just had to be, he wouldn’t let it be any other way no matter what Shinou was going to do with them. They were going to get through this. They would defeat the wizard in his world and in Yuuri’s if it should come to that.

Yuuri couldn't relax even with Wolfys hand in his. That world of pain and war was a place Yuuri would never want to return to but they had no choice. The wizard had to be stopped and with Muratas confidence it seemed all the more possible.

"The dryer is in the back room." Older Yuuri said and his younger self instantly went to go get the clothes waiting for them there.

The water upstairs in the tub was run and it felt like forever until the tub was filled enough for all four of them.

Yuuri had stayed silent for awhile, not there was much talking done among the four as the travel grew closer. He wondered if he'd be separated from Wolfy from here, would they ever see each other again if that was the case? If he went with them to this worlds Shin Makouku would they truly be able to get rid of the wizard completely.

"Let's go." The older Yuuri spoke, taking the first step into the tub. They could only go forward, and Yuuri knew how much stronger he was. They would defeat the wizard.
