Day 79-80 Late Night to early morning: Sleepless

Sep 06, 2011 09:27

Late that night, Wolf found himself unable to sleep and so, he wound up at Yuuri’s door. Maybe Yuuri was also having trouble sleeping? Or maybe Wolfram was there too. He bit his lower lip. He didn’t like the idea of Murata being so long at the temple and he had no idea what was happening there. He needed to talk to someone. So, he rapped on Yuuri’s ( Read more... )

Just as Wolf had said he would, Wolfram appeared in the doorway. Although he froze as he caught sight of the both of them, he had been expecting Yuuri to be asleep, so he could just sneak in. It was so much easier to sneak in unnoticed and not have to argue with Yuuri about sleeping in the same bed. However he had received a weird look from the guards, they were sure they had seen Wolfram enter already.

He walked over to take a seat next to Yuuri. "Why aren't you two asleep yet?" As he sat down he glanced over to Wolf. "So you haven't gone to the tomb yet?" He hadn't expected Wolf to, he seemed to have more control then he ever did.

Yuuri was just about to except the card game, but decline the drinks, when he saw Wolfram walk in. He was stunned, really, jumping out of his seat as Wolfram took the one across from him. He was visibly stiff.

"W-Wolfram!" Holy lord- It felt like forever since he'd seen his ex-fiance. "W-well, couldn't fall asleep, so me and Wolfy were just talking! You know, it's alittle stormy outside it's hard to fall asleep, ahaha?" He noticed the wood was just a foot or so from Wolframs seat and in a blur of fumbling kingly mess he jumped and scooted onto the windowsill and sat there, pushing the wood behind him and behind the curtain. "How are you doing, can't go to sleep either?"

He was trying to remain calm, like in those movies he was slick, cool, yea that was it. He couldn't let Wolfram just find the piece he had to give it to him!

Wolf grinned, he knew Wolfram would eventually be here. Though a shadow crossed his face. "I just couldn't go. He'd be disappointed in me." His shoulders slumped slightly.

"We were just trying to figure out what to do to pass the time." He glanced at Yuuri's odd movements with a raised eyebrow.

Wolfram too raised an eyebrow at Yuuri's odd behaviour, he stared for a moment. "You're a little jumpy Yuuri." As he realised what he thought was the cause he smirked. "Scared of the storm?"

"I was coming to check on you." He glanced between the two of them; he was up now, so he might as well join. "What did you have in mind?"

"S-scared of the storm?" What a great excuse! But no- he couldn't go with that. "Of course not, just ugh, alittle startle by the thunder. It can catch you off guard."

"Why don't we play cards, it sounds like a good idea." Yuuri offered, getting up from his perch and rummaging through his draws till he pulled out a deck of cards. Although the game was the same the symbols on the cards were different. For example, instead of hearts there were stars. "so what game." He headed back over towards Wolfram. There was a table that he could pull up. "Hey, Wolfy, pull up a chair an we can all play."

Ok so it was a little bit corny, but Wolf suddenly had a thought and when Wolframs get thoughts...they generally go with them. As he moved to oblige the King and retrieve another chair he 'accidentally' tripped over his own feet, thus being an obstacle in Yuuri's way.

The intention of course was to cause Yuuri to tumble into Wolfram. "Have you ever played Hearts?" He glanced over his shoulder with a smirk.

It never hurts to give things a little 'push' along from time to time. And it would distract Wolfram from Yuuri's really bad secret moves.

But thngs never went as planned, and so when Yuuri tumbled over the misplaced feet he reached out, grabbing onto a shirt and pulling a certain mischievous blond down with him ontop of his ex-fiance. Planting Yuuri between the two blonds.

"N-no," He began, pushing his way out of the sandwich that was making him alittle nervous in the chest. "How do you play?"

Wolf and Yuuri did have a habit of getting tangled up. When He was pulled forward, the yank on his shirt was strong enough to dislodge a button that had only really been hanging on precariously before. A certain someone had a tendency to stress Wolf’s clothing.

He yelped as they toppled forward since he was already off balance from the trip. His eyes shot to Wolfram’s in apology but before he could successfully do that Yuuri was scrambling out from between them and they were a mess of arms and legs. He sat up on the floor and chuckled.

“Well, you want to have the least points at the end of the game and form tricks or combination of cards. It’s fun; I played it in the army. We used to...” Wolf paused, as the chuckle sort of died from his lips. “Eh well, we played for food.” He shrugged, “Anyway. We can play for something or just for fun.”

"Don't worry Yuuri, me and Wolf are here to protect you from the storm." He smirked. No sooner than the smirk appeared on his lips it was taken away, as Yuuri and Wolf came tumbling on top of him. "Hey! Get off!" He could feel the heat rising into his cheeks already; it had been so long since they had been so close. As the other's freed him, Wolfram stood and brushed his clothes off, then took his seat once again.

"I think we should play for something." It would definitely make the game more fun and triumphant when he won.

"What could we bet on?" He was about to mention that gambling was illegal for minors but if he thought about how old both Wolframs were...well. "Want to bet using baseball cards. But, I'll warn you, if it's for baseball cards I wont go easy."

"Neither Wolfram or I have any baseball cards. How about if whoever wins, you get to ask the other two to do something and they have to do it." Wolf said with a mischievous smirk.

He added with a wink, "Within reason."

He settled down on a chair, ready to start the game. His mission tonight was to get these two to relax together.

"That's alittle ominous." If he knew better then he would have to do something terrible- like were a dress again or learn a weird dance. "Depends on what it is, only if it is reasonable."

Yuuri sat down, his eyes glanced at the window were the wood was hidden in the curtain. There had to be a time here when he could give it to Wolfram...

"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you." He promised.

Wolf proceeded to explain the game which was relatively easy once you got the hang of it. He was glad to have a distraction from thinking about what Murata was up to. He paused a moment to glance about. Naturally Yuuri had no alcohol in the room. "Let me get them to bring us something to drink."

He moved to the door to order some sweet wine. ... and something non-alcoholic for the King.

Thus leaving the two of them alone for a moment.

Yuuri understood the game and as they played he couldn't have wished for something more than glass of juice or water. So he was glad when Wolfy got up to get them something.

Yuuri looked up from his cards to eye Wolfram. Maybe now would be a good time to give him the carving- but no, Wolfy would come back any minute and he wanted to make sure Wolfram knew that he had really tried this time. So it had to be special, perfect.

"So...what have you been up to lately?"

Wolfram watched Wolf walk away, something told him Wolf had left them alone on purpose. He turned back to Yuuri; he might as well use the time. "Just my usual duties, I did some painting just the other day." He smirked, "You know, i've missed you as my model." Telling the truth he had just missed Yuuri in general, but he wouldn't tell the other that.

"What have you been doing? I hope you haven't slacked off while i haven't been around."

Wolf kept to the door for the moment, waiting for the drinks! Or rather, making sure the two had a couple of moments to themselves. Was Yuuri wimping out on something? He just knew he was.

He frowned and hoped it wasn't because he was there. Come on, Yuuri! He mentally encouraged the King.

Wolf leaned by the edge of the door nonchalantly.
