Day 74: Dusk
Cheri grinned as Blood Pledge Castle grew closer and closer. The smell of sea water faded from the air, and instead the crisp scent of baked bread and stone greeted her. It was both unfamiliar and familiar at the same time. Blood Pledge Castle was what she considered her home, and yet, she was a wanderer. She supposed that it was a trait that she had acquired from Dan Hiri, but she left that speculation up to whomever wanted to inquire further into it. She didn't really care, nor did she make any plans to change. Staying in one place for extended amounts of time always seemed to bother her.
That is, unless the drama made it worth it.
Ahh, yes. It appeared that something rather curious had occurred while she had been wasting away at sea. Oh how cruel of her sons to keep her out of the loop for so long! To think, she had to find out from some nameless person rather than her own sons! They knew how she despised having to catch up on the current events. Conrart and Wolfram were both hopeless when it came to keeping her informed, but Gwendal, at the very least, was usually very good with sending pigeon letters. Ah well, it was something that they each inherited from their stubborn fathers. Goodness knows that she couldn't have passed such tenacity and carelessness towards one's mother to her precious babies!
But then again, she hadn't spoken to her mother for decades before she got married...and even longer after that...
Oh pish posh! It's in the past! Cheri lived in the here and now, and here and now was tons of drama at Blood Pledge that she could hardly wait to sink her teeth into...
Oh come now! Not literally...
Okay, maybe...depending on who it was she could sink her teeth into.
The stone fortress grew closer and soon, her carriage was rolling towards the main doors. She eagerly swung her door open and stepped out of the carriage, glancing up at the stone walls appreciatively.
"Mother's home." She murmured, blonde hair slipping over her shoulder and her voice ringing with barely contained excitement.
(OOC: Yeah, *waves* I'm new here, so if I make any mistakes PLEASE tell me so that I don't do it again! Hahaha I hope to have tons of fun here~)
