Day 71, morning
Bert had been spending most of his days working out with the soldiers and by himself with the weights. He was rather irritated about being stuck here and missing all the practices and games. Surely he'd never be on the starting rotation after this. He'd be lucky to stay in the pros. That thought only made him work out harder to try to distract himself from such thoughts.
But every athlete needs to fill himself with fuel so he can be productive, so breakfast was necessary before hitting more practice dummies (literally). The dining area was rather vacant, but the maids were always friendly and giggled when he tried to flirt with them. He ordered himself a very large breakfast and drank a few glasses of milk while waiting for his food.
