Day 69 Very early morning 12:30am In the Sage’ s Room
Murata was late; he’d had to deal with something regarding the temple and told Wolf to wait in his room for him. So, that’s where he was now, curled up on a two seat sofa by a window and huddled in a blanket. He hadn’t undressed because he hadn’t wanted to disappoint Murata. At the moment, he was starting to get a little depressed, maybe he shouldn’t have come at all. The Sage was needed by everyone. He’d at least remembered to get himself some clothing to change into in the morning.
He sighed and fought to stay awake. Yes, he’d slept in that day, but only because of over-exertion the day before and the previous day. Had he even had a good night’s sleep since the day he’d arrived? No, but that was nothing new for him.
Tonight wasn’t over yet! If he truly admitted it to himself, he was afraid. He’d made a promise, though, and he was going to honor it. He wanted to honor it, he truly did! Sometimes the best laid plans didn't work out. He sighed and stretched happily, taking up the whole couch.
The morning would bring a lovely day with cooking and a picnic and loads of fun! He was looking forward to it.
He'd found a book to read to keep himself awake because he knew that once his eyes closed...it was very difficult to wake him up.
