It wasn't one of his favorite jobs to do interrogations, but someone had to do it. Thankfully, Gunter had volunteered to help with the paperwork that had piled up at his office over night while he did his duties

After seeing a healer and having some time for his head to clear, Yozak was in search of Gwendal. He remembered the man coming into Gunter's room late at night and he remembered not being very helpful at all, so he wanted to find out if Gwendal had any other questions he could try to answer now he was in a better state of mind. He found out from a guard that Gwendal was interrogating the remaining prisoner now and after some consideration, the guard escorted him to the cell Gwendal was at.
A guard called for Gwendal's attention from the door and announced the arrival of the Yozak involved in the incident.
"If you'll excuse me, I'll just be a moment," Gwendal said to the blubbering man before sending a slight tremor through the ground causing the man's chair to rock and for the prisoner's eyes to bulge in fear.
Gwendal stepped outside of the cell and found Yozak in the hall.
"Have you thought of any thing else?" he asked by way of greeting.
"Ah, I'm not sure... I'm not entirely sure of what it was I told you to began with." He looked away, his embarressment probably obvious. "I wasn't really in a good mindset at the time. I thought I would come see if you still had any questions that I might be able to answer."
Yozak's appearance certainly offered a much welcomed respite from the silent prisoner. It made sense that last night's chaos and the late hour would make it harder for Yozak to have a good recollection of the events. A good night's sleep does wonders. Too bad Gwendal only had a few hours himself.
"The prisoner hasn't been able to speak coherently about what happened. Do you know why Alford slaughtered the two men that were in the hall? Did they present themselves with weapons? How did you happen across the scene? Did you hear shouts?"
It was more the late night combined with quite a few too many number of drinks.
"I don't. I believe they were still armed, at least when they were running away. I heard some sounds coming from a room and wanted to see what was going on. It sounded like they were having fun... then there was something about killing someone and I kind of blew the door off. I was fighting the two of them, and Alford came by, probably from all the noise, and he told me to look after Gunter while he fought off the other two. They went running though, so he went after them and I don't know what happened with them then. I was slowly trying to get Gunter back to his room when the other Gunter found us and helped us back there, he left and then this world's Gunter left, and the other Gunter came back and we..." He blushed a little, remembering. "We went to sleep then, until you came in."
Why was he blushing? Gwendal narrowed his eyes but quickly discounted the suspicioun upon thinking of just who this Yozak was with that night.
"Are you familiar with interrogations? I could use a good cop/bad cop pairing while I take another go at Vrell. He already thinks I'm scary so you can be an observer and offer him water or something and he'll think you're his protector. Are you interested?"
"Well it's been a few months, but I used to do them as well. I'd be happy to help though. Gunter was in bad shape and it would be good to be able to deal with the people involved." Which reminded him. "Do you know how Gunter's doing now?"
"Gunter is recovering slowly but surely. I'm sure he'll want to thank you personally for your efforts to save him when he's more himself."
Gwendal's hand fell upon the door to the prisoner's interrogation room. "Shall we?" he asked before pushing open the door and re-entering.
Vrell looked up immediately when Gwendal entered the room. His face was a sheen of sweat and his gray hair was drenched in it making it appear darker. "You feeling more talkative Vrell?" Gwendal asked by way of greeting.
He nodded a hello to the prisoner. "We just want some information. All you need to do is work with us and this can go smoothly," he said keeping his tone gentle.
Vrell looked back and forth between Gwendal and Yozak. He certainly seemed more comfortable now that he wasn't alone with Gwendal.
'Am I that scary?' Gwendal thought to himself.
"What is your relationship with Henrik Levale and Chadwick Edsel?"
"How do you know their names?" Vrell asked in a whisper.
"You think I just spend all my time with you here in the dungeon?"
"It's all a misunderstanding. I work for Levale's father. He asked me to help him with a tonic for sleep that's all."
Gwendal arched a brow at the revelation. It was more than he'd been able to get the man to admit in his previous two hours of interrogation. He glanced over toward Yozak--did his presence really make that much of a difference.
"So, you're saying it's not a drug often used in brothels to loosen up clients that aren't very agreeable? Because that's not what my poisons expert says. We found a bottle of the passionweed sedative."
"I didn't know they were going to use it on the King's advisor!""So what? It would have been okay if they had used it on

"I'm sure he felt justified in his actions, but the situation will need to be investigated. Killing the men seems excessive. Surely with as skilled as he is he could have incapacitated them without murder. I gave him permission to keep his sword weeks ago, but until I can assess his mental stability and discerning judgment I'll have to suspend that privilege. I may need you to serve as a witness under the tribunal."

Following the other man out, he waited to say anything more until the door was shut. "Get everything you need?"

Any ideas what you might do with Alford?" He had helped him out, which Yozak had definitely appreciated, but he still wasn't the fondest of him.
