Day 57, mid to late afternoon
Gwendal headed back to his room after his encounter with Gunter in the library. Along the way, he kissed a maid or two and a few eager soldiers and discovered that Dorcascus was ticklish. He rested for a while (since Gunter had worn him out), then changed into some loose fitting black linen pants that tied at the waist and rode low on his hips. The castle seemed hot today, but for some reason, it didn’t seem proper to walk around without anything on his upper half (even on Naked Day) so he pulled on a long, open, royal blue vest that brought out the color of his eyes. A long thick braid of dark hair cascaded down his back. He puzzled over this morning’s behavior while he dressed. Was this normal for him? Something seemed off. If those stupid little warning bells going off in his head would just stop, he’d be perfectly happy. His stomach reminded him that he hadn’t eaten today (well, food anyway), so he headed towards the dining hall to re-energize.
Since it was after the normal lunch hour, the dining hall was deserted, although he could hear strange noises coming from the kitchen. Ignoring the sounds, he walked over to the serving table, filled with all kinds of foods that could only be called aphrodisiacs. Oysters, asparagus, strawberries, a couple of bananas and honey for his tea. He was an avid coffee drinker, but the cotton candy that he had been smelling all day had him craving sweets, even now. Filling his plate, he added all kinds of complimentary sauces and toppings and sat down to enjoy his feast, snickering as the words ‘sex on a plate’ crossed his mind. He licked some topping off a strawberry, rolling it across his tongue as he envisioned a lovely redhead serving as a human platter for his meal. The delicious anticipation of finding Nissi and fulfilling his desires was almost too much. He had no idea why he had been so cautious up until now.
