Nissi was happy, and it showed. She smiled and skipped through the halls, determined that today was going to be a good one. Yesterday hadn't been half bad. She had enjoyed her time with (ooc) Gwendal, and found that her reservations were weakening. And she didn't mind, she realized.
She was on her way out to the garden to practice her dancing, a path which usually took her by Anissina's lab. She always felt a little sad when she passed by the door, and sometimes hoped to hear her twin working away on the other side. Her steps slowed and she glanced at the door, expecting to see it shut tight as always, to hear nothing.
Except it wasn't shut tight. It was shut mostly, but there was a gap - a small one. The door wasn't latched. Had someone been in there? Anissina wouldn't like that.
She cast a glance up and down the hall, then stepped lightly to the door and gently pushed. It opened, just far enough that she could slip inside the room and look around. What she saw made her mouth go dry and she reached up to pinch herself. She must be dreaming.
