Stopping in front of the door he presumed to be the correct one, Yozak knocked firmly before slowly opening the door, still clutching onto the letter from Gisela.

Hopefully this part of the castle was the same here, he wouldn't particularly leave a good impression on the people here if he was found randomly walking into peoples rooms or womens bathrooms. He probably should've double checked with the solider who delivered the letter to him.

Gisela was just settling into a break from chaos with a cup of warm tea and a book when she heard the knock on her door. She sighed and set the book on her desk.

"Come in!"

Pushing the door all the open, at the invitation, Yozak stepped inside the room. "I believe you wanted me here, for some-" He glanced down at the letter. "-health screening?" He held up the letter, giving it a small wave.

"Yes." She stood and extended her hand to him. "I'm Gisela von Christ. I don't believe we've met."

"Not in this world at least." He said shaking her hand, while he thought back to his world. He had seen the green-haired healer various times whenever he went to the infirmary.

"So, you really believe we're contaminated, disease filled, people?" He asked calmly, getting straight to the point.

"Not at all. But it's better to err on the side of caution. You could be carrying a virus that you yourself are immune to and not even know it, but it could cause a great deal of damage to a population never exposed to it."

"I suppose that's a valid point. So far though it seems this world isn't much different from my own. I would think the diseases are also much the same, but better safe then sorry, as you said.

He glanced around the room before speaking. "So what is it, you're going to do?" He would've liked to be able to trust these people, but his military side was keeping him on his toes.

"Even the smallest mutation can cause harm." She held her hand out again. "I'm just going to use my maryoku to check your vitals and make sure you are not carrying anything that might be potentially dangerous, and also make sure your natural immunity is able to fend off any disease unique to this world. And in case you feel the need to ask, no, you do not have to take your clothes off."

"I-uh... that's good." A blush covered his face, as he uncertainly gave her his hand. "So you just need my hand?"

"Yes." She took his hand again and set her magic loose to do its work before pulling away and looking up at him with a confused expression. "You have maryoku."

"Oh that's right. My double doesn't. You see, in my world, it's become a common thing for halfbloods to be born with maryoku." He grew silent as he thought back to his own world, hopefully things were okay there.

"That's very interesting. Is it elemental?" She moved back to her desk to cross his name off her list.

"Hmm?" He glanced up at her, shaking the thoughts from his head.

"Yeah." He nodded. "I work with air." He added after a minute.

"Really? My father controls air." She smiled and reached for her tea. "I hope you're adjusting to our world. I know it must be difficult to be so removed from your home."

"Yeah... I can't help but wonder if everything's all right back home, there was nothing amiss when I ended up here, but I still have a tendency to worry. I'm sure they're all fine though." He said, as though trying to convince himself.

"I imagine it's fairly difficult for everyone here too, taking care of strangers and trying to find a way to send us back; you are trying to find a way for us back, correct?"

Gisela gave him a sympathetic look. "Anissina is working on a way to send you all home, but we don't know when that will be. Hopefully soon."
