Um... I think that kid's a bit confused.
I am NOT pressing charges; he just got caught doing something illegal. Like, say you rob a bank. Even if all the witnesses decide not to press charges, the robber STILL GETS IN TROUBLE for having COMMITTED A CRIME. Likewise, the case is out of my hands, and I am in not position to set you free in exchange for bribes.
