This weekend: uneventful.
Last week: stressful. I'm surprised I didn't bite anyone's head off. If I did and didn't realize it, sorry.
I'll just go back as far as I can remember (enough to write about, at least).
Thursday: Belle and I went out on the town. We spent way too much time in Circuit City and I bought a new mouse. After that we headed over to Barnes & Noble. Belle bought me an Ursula Hegi book for my birthday, which was infreakingcredible of her. I bought the other two they had for myself. I'm excited. After this Gulliver's Travels paper is out of the way, I'll give them each a week. I might finish them before that. Once I start an Ursula Hegi book it's glued to my face until I finish it. I hope she writes another book like Stones From the River to keep me busy for a while. Salt Dancers, Intrusions, and Floating In My Mother's Palm are pretty short. Belle made my Thursday.
Friday: Tests. Enough said. I had bio, spanish, algebra, and english. I was completely worn out, so I didn't go anywhere and watched movies.
Saturday: Same. I did my laundry, cleaned up, took a nap. I like lazing around on Saturdays.
Sunday: The parentals came by on their way back from church and brought me some stuff I left at home. I'm totally going home again this weekend. Spring break makes me miss home.
Today: TGIM. Not. I procrastinated again and had to finish my spanish essay during study hall. I put in all the accents just as class got out. Made a 103 on my western civ test from last week, and I think I made a 100 on today's english quiz, so grades were good. I still haven't gotten back my algebra...but I don't really want it. They can keep that one.
We had off-season practice for field hockey today. I'm out of shape. My hitting hasn't gone to hell, which is good, but then we played keep-away and I really hate that game. I feel bad because I'm not very agile. I can run for a pretty long time (when I'm actually in shape for it) but agility just isn't my thing. We did some strength training and supermans after that, had a break, and played a mini-game until 4:30. It was pretty fun, as far as 6-player games go, but I don't like those very much either because I can't play the positions that I'm used to. The wind didn't help and made my lungs sore. Now my laugh turns into this fantastic hacking cough. But overall, it was great. I like that feeling I get when I know I actually went out and did something instead of just sitting around.
Note to self--go to bed earlier, wake up earlier. My goals for this week are to be ready for bed before 11, be trying to go to sleep by 11:20, and wake up before 7. And when I've done that, I'll move to waking up at 6:45. I used to do that at the beginning of the year, but my habit shifted to 7. I'm really big on routines and habits, so once I get stuck on something it doesn't go away. If I can move back into my old habit, it'll stay. That's what I need to do.
Celia just called some kid named Muhammed. Kid as in under the age of 9. It was a little strange.
