FR Ramble.
I'm re-reading R. A. Salvatore books. Again. Yes, different ones than last time. (Hey, after all, there are so many. xDD) I don't even know why I keep returning to these books, anyway. The more flaws I find in them now, the more I keep liking them out of some variation of nostalgia (for the time when I used to think they were the best thing ever? xD).
The new thing this time, though, is that... I ship Drizzt x Alustriel now. I don't even want to ask myself why, it just happened. I'm perfectly conscious that this has basically been denied in canon with as much clarity as ever possible, and quite soon after it was even hinted in the first place, too! Because there was some midway shift-of-plans or something. Or I dunno. But I know that it was there, and then it suddenly wasn't anymore and there was Drizzt x Catti-brie instead. Lolwut.
And I also know that I ignored it wholly and completely back then because I couldn't have cared less. xDD And now I suddenly like it. Rofl! New OTP? I wouldn't go that far yet, but who knows. There are some pretty good openings for fanfic, too... Which, let's be serious, I'll never write. But it's fun to think of! On the other hand, my fanfic-related enthusiasm is quenched immediately if I dare to click on the FR section of FF.net, since, like everything else, it's been half-dead and half-conquered-by-fail. It's full of... let's see...
Plz to be excusing me if I throw up instead of clicking and reading. >.> But I am glad to see that college-fail level has gone back to the point where my LJ entries are once more fandom-rants! xD

- of course, yaoi! Except, unlike a couple of years ago, the great love between Drizzt and Artemis seems to have made considerable room for other great loves like Artemis and Jarlaxle, Drizzt and Zaknafein (and, what the heck, the rest of their loving family too!), and Zaknafein and Jarlaxle. LOLWUT. How awesome.
