Towering granite and New
England sunrises emulate
The forest. The woodlands
Are gorgeous;
Its landscape bludgeoned with leaves,
Tall trees and a scenery
That’s easy; that’s easy
On the eyes.
Constant reflections
Of stars on the water
Is an overwhelming vista.
But it’s beautiful.
It’s so beautiful.
It’s so beautiful to me.
Tremendous sweeping plains and
Boundless mountains on countless state lines.
The tepid ocean
Hurtles on the coast.
The gentle slope of the vale
And the stream that lays between it
Rest easy; rest easy
On the eyes.
Constant reflections
Of stars on the water
Is an overwhelming vista.
But it’s beautiful.
It’s so beautiful.
It’s so beautiful to me.
An explosion of paint illuminates
A watercolor portrait I once did
Of a girl I loved back then
And a gorgeous landscape.
Constant reflections
Of stars on the water
Is an overwhelming vista.
But it’s beautiful.
It’s so beautiful.
It’s so beautiful to me.
