Vampires don't drink human blood for refreshments. They need it to survive. Except I choose not to, because I actually put some value on a human life.

My family and I...including Edward and Bella, if you've met them, we choose to drink animal blood.

It's not the same, but it keeps us alive.

To cut the story short, I'm a vampire. I don't eat food, I don't sleep, and I'm going to outlive everyone here because I'm immortal.
