[ooc: Ah. Well, it's not strictly analogous (what with magic and being much more sexually liberated and lacking in much of IRL Victorian era's sexism and homophobia) but in general, as a Steampunk setting we try to keep the technology base and society similar to late 1800s, just pre-WW1.]
