YAM - Yet Another Meme
The usual thing. Memes. This one is the book-and-song lines.
The books - a random sampling of the stuff in my room. Can't get to the stuff in the basement, which comprises the great majority of my library. Also, one of those books isn't actually mine.
1. Foghorns wailed from burnished-white liners and rust-scabbed freighters tethered to massive buoys.

Barney hopped from one foot to the other as he clambered down from the train, peering in vain through the white-faced crowds flooding eagerly to the St Austell ticket barrier. "Oh, I can't see him. Is he there?" - C

8. The Finns knew the Guardians had won. It was over.
9. "You are a kallikanzaros," she announced suddenly.
10. Martha Macnamara stood at the Pacific, her toes digging into the froth. She had come the length of the country in one day's flight, and she had trouble believing that this was a different ocean.
