After years of teachers piling it on, there's a new movement to ... Abolish homework (homework was always stupid, teachers always gave it out in random amounts, if schools are going to have homework they should at least set some standards for it)

Bleh I really don't like this new approach to lazy academics. And that guy teaches an AP class... well clearly his students are more motivated, you can't get away with that in a lot of other schools though. And besides, the US already gives students less homework than any other nation in the world, and now everyone's complaining that it should be abolished? You spend one hour a day in class, it's impossible to learn everything you need to know in there. Of course colleges don't give out homework, but that's different, you're expected to study for exams and stuff... high school is mandatory, not everyone is motivated. But then the whole high school system is screwed up int he first place... ah education rant

I think most 12 year olds know that killing is wrong. But it's the fact that we punish youth in this country as adults for EVERYTHING. Ywt we still don't let them vote, drink alcohal, smoke. Not that I think they should do those things. But it's hypocritical. And I HATE!!! hypocrits.
