Focus here has been less on work/play and much more on family as my aunt's condition declines.
Last Weekend was a wash for happy fun entertainment for me, but they can't all be gems, amIright?
Breakdown of how it went from bad to uhg~
Friday night: Get home and news comes from family at UW Medical that Audrey's kidneys have failed.*
Saturday morning: Plan to go to Seattle to visit falls through because my bro decides to show up with his kids.
Sunday: We decide to head to Seattle in the morning, forcing me to get everything ready for work and head back over to Issaquah at about 11AM. Then we gathered at the hospital as Aud was operated on. A stint was put in her neck (at great risk) in order to begin kidney dialysis. She was mover from the O.R. to the Intensive Care Unit where she remains because the room has been filled.
Stop reading now if you are squeamish about biology, don't want to know more about: A stranger's physical condition, the human condition, or suffering from caner.
*This comes after so many other set-back in her road to recovery. 1) Heart stopped 2) Left lung collapsed 3) Diagnosed with pneumonia (turned out to be a fungal infection) 4) Bed Sores 5) 60% muscle atrophy due to being in a hospital bead for 2 months without solid foods 5) The worst gas ever (yet untreated) 6) bowels = ?
She seems to have lost hope. My uncle and cousin's are almost worried sick themselves, and with both cousins getting married next month, they can't do that. Both couples wanted to give her a goal to shoot for. But at this point she won't be released from the hospital in November.
UPSHOT: The fungus is being treated with antibiotic. She has a steady pulse rate. Steady breathing after her lung was re-inflated. Her blood toxicity is acceptable after a week of dialysis and she'll be able to move after the gas is dealt with.
I post this because it's important for me to take note of it. I don't want to take pictures, but I don't want to forget the story details either.
