I guess it was meant to be hurtful. I'm not trying to say that what Danny did is right or wrong, but just painting one scenario.
The not telling Martin about the baby thing is different I guess. It depends on how much Daniel sees Martin's friendship is worth and how much he likes his own privacy. Being a reluctant celebrity, I can see him wanting to keep some things to himself (maybe not from Martin, but then if he didn't there would be no story.) Also, it wasn't that he didn't *tell* him. Just because he never said it outright doesn't mean that he didn't say anything at all. After all, the other people knew. Maybe I should make that clearer. Hmmm.
And yeah, I know it doesn't have to work that way in the end, but the point I was trying to get across was that Daniel doesn't think they should continue to see each other in the same way. Not just because well, it's cruel to his partner but he also has a child to think of and if I was the child, I would not want to think my father was being unfaithful to the family. (although, that has never stopped me writing Stevie/Xabi... *hahaha*)
Yeah, as I said before, it's only one potential scenario, and it's all fiction. =)
