Thanks bunches to Robin I. for taking pictures (and thus she manages to not be in a single one) and for providing PARTY FUEL 3000 (A.K.A., "That's a glass of good Scotch?!?").
You know, I didn't even mention food. We provided an 11-pound standing prime rib roast, green bean casserole, and rolls. quarblotz and Kevin brought Granny Beam's eggnog, rum cake, and Noah's Ark Stuffing (made from multiple woodland creatures). nancy73 brought Retardedly Good Macaroni and Cheese. skronk brought tasty spinach balls. reluctantuser and marvin789 brought a pumpkin roll. megasus4 brought spinach-artichoke casserole. Am I forgetting anything/anyone?
We ate it ALL and had a darn fine time doing it.
Lots of people brought beer. Robin brought the fateful bottle of 15-year-old Glenfiddich. potterygirl made hot buttered rum and mulled wine. I cannot recall it all, it was so much, and got so much blurrier as the night wore on...
There was music played and outness hung and seven thousand conversations, intoxications, and some vexation (poor reluctantuser had to leave instead of spending the night... cat hair assault on the senses, for which I'm sorry. Hope you had an easy drive and a good rest!).
It was so nice to see everyone. I'm already looking forward to next year.
