Saw the final Harry Potter movie, even though I wasn't really planning to.
The
Stepbrothers-esqe hug Voldemort gives Draco before the final battle was hilariously awkward.
The aged-down Alan Rickman was weird. Dan remarked that throughout the movie the level of eye makeup he had changed noticeably. Made me think of comic to make. If I get the time and remember to do that, I really should. The aged up kids just looked like aged-up kids to me, since aging doesn't really work that way, obvs.
Thankfully they did a good job with a lot of the stupider parts of that book, like everything with Snape. Snape's flashback didn't seem as tedious here as I had remembered it in the book.
Rupert Grint has mastered the art of sitting in the background and looking like a cat trying to understand a human: he doesn't seem to quite understand that Harry's going to die at first, but gets the jist of it from Hermoine being sad.
Neville likes his sword.
And that's it. Sorry D-lady, I know I said I was really against seeing the movie at this time. I ended up there anyway, for reasons.
