See, I can update when I put my mind to it. In the past 10 days, life has been busy...
Last Wednesday, Becky gave me her horrible horrible sick. And it sucked. By Thursday morning, I wanted to die. Like really. Everything that could possibly have felt sick, felt sick. I went to classes anyway because I had an exam, and then I went to bed for 5 hours, getting worse all the time. Then, I had to pick Becky up from work and take her to the emergency room. My mom wanted me to get checked out too, because I could hardly walk without falling over. By the time they looked at me I had a pulse around 130-140 and my temp rose 2 degrees in an hour. Great. El douchebags let Becky go (when they shouldn't have), but I had to stay. Dustin stopped letting me say I was fine and came down a couple hours after I got there. I was really, really, really really glad to see him! They took all kinds of blood pressure tests, drew blood and had me hooked up to a heart moniter and nobody would SAY ANYTHING to me. Then they hooked me up to an IV and he held my hand and handed me things - he is also a very good gown tie-er, for which I thank him. I was a fan of that IV... it was good. It made me feel... well, not good, but not like dying either. They also finally let me have tylenol when they determined it wouldnt make anything worse, which brought my fever back to normal sick person range. 4 huge potassium pills later, my heart rate was 105 and I was allowed to leave!... at 3:30 in the morning. Dustin had to drive me back, but then he gave me crackers, water and soup, and then put me to bed. <3 Thank you, sweetie.
One week later... still sick. Not bad sick, I actually feel pretty fine, but I rattle my lungs when I cough... a lot. Plus my voice sounds a little funny when I talk sometimes. I am, however, on the mend, slowly but surely. Diagnosis? Influenza. Don't get it - ever.
Becky found some awesome appts. near work... 710 a month for a two bed, two bath - total. Thats 360 a person, which INCLUDES electricity, water, cable, internet, and washer/dryer hook ups. Plus theres a pool. Thats the best price I have ever seen in Greensboro. Also, they're pretty. Score. Definitely a good possibility.
Work is pretty much the same as always. I'm headed back to the pines tomorrow night to have a meeting Saturday morning with the head lady for the Vagina Monologues, so I can figure out what kind of lighting she will need and do a walk through of the place. Hope that goes well (though the lady kind of bugs me...). Working with Faw, though, which should make it suck way less than sitting up there by myself - I also have a feeling when I work with this woman more than a phone call every few days and email, I will be even more grateful to have him working with me. Just a hunch.
Everything else is as it was when I last posted. Life is good :) Now I must go do my laundry like a good adult. Bye guys.
