So, my weekend got off to an early start this time: on THURSDAY!! I left in order to get to Boone, because Faw's wedding was on Friday. I stayed with Wesley, which was good, but somewhat awkward. He doesn't like me much, I'm thinkin.... The wedding...was beautiful. It had to be moved inside because of rain, but was still wonderful, and the reception was perfect for those two. It was totally their personalities, fun and casual and awesome. The father daughter dance was a little hard for me to watch, and Wesley bailed on me, but it was a lot of fun.
Then, I went to Lenoir to spend the weekend with Dustin and his friends and family. That place is gorgeous, and the people there are great. His family was very nice to me, and his friends remind me a lot of my own. They are hilarious group of smart asses, which is perfect for me ^_^. Friday night after I got in, we went to the Coffee House with Adam, Chip, William and Chelsea. We spent 2+ hours talking, laughing and occasionally eating :-P. After that, Dustin and I went to Adams with William to watch Land of The Dead. It was a good movie, and it was WONDERFUL company. We didn't get back to his house untill about 4:30. Not too much sleep that night, but totally worth it. On the way home he squeezed my leg like he always does in the car and smiled at me. I swear, everytime he looks at me, I fall in love again. I love that.
Saturday, we slept in a little (considering we went to bed so late), ate breakfast at his house, and went with his sister, brother in law, niece and nephew to Ft. Defiance. For those of you from SP, its sort of like Malcolm Blue Farm. We took some cute pictures with his niece and found this awesome old beech tree with HUGE roots. It was 500 years old. We also took a tour of the house, which is 200+ years old (completed like, 1792 I believe). For a history major like me, it was fantastic. We left after a while and grabbed a bite to eat at this really cool roadside ice cream/food place. After that I watched Dustin audition for the summer outside drama, From This Day Forward. He did well, and I got to watch the assistant director's baby. It was adorable (but...not as cute as Jack and Austin). Then we drove to downtown Lenoir to have dinner with his family at Sledgehammer Charlie's. The food was pretty good, and I had a lot of fun plowing/flicking a balled up straw paper back and forth the table with Gwenivere (the afformentioned niece, who is 6 and ADORABLE). Yes, I act like a retard around children. Oh well. She seemed to enjoy it. Especially later when I danced in the street with her, much to Dustins annoyance (she was perfectly safe, I was watching for cars, plus Dustin was holding her hand, don't worry). I still don't know what his friends and family thought of me, but no one seemed to hate me, and I really liked them a lot. A lot a lot. Back at his place after dinner we played Life (which I won) and Scene It (which he won), and then watched the Shawshank Redemption. He seemed to like it. As it was then 2:30 AM, we decided to head off to bed. Another spectacular day.
Sunday, we woke up late and hurried to get ready for church. When we got there, we found out the service had started at 10:30, not 11. Damn! We suck. But we waited outside and I got to meet Josh, his old Theatre teacher. I LOVED HIM. He is such a cool person. He and Gwenivere are my favorites, I think ^_^. I hope he liked me. I hope they all liked me, really. After lunch, we got our pictures develloped (getting ready to put them on facebook soon). Only we could have 3 pictures left to take out in the parking lot, and manage to take one in like, half a second that was the pest picture of all. That is our luck, I guess. We packed up, stopped back by FTDF auditions and then went to Winston to visit Steve, Cat, Jack and Austin. I helped get the boys all fed and burped and then we loaded them in the car and headed to a japanese resturant for dinner. Steve liked Dustin. A WHOLE lot. They seemed to get along better than I have ever seen Steve around any boy I bring home. Alas, afterwards we had to head home. Lame. I didn't want it all to end....
This weekend was....incredible.....wow. I loved it. Every second. I don't really even know what else to say to convey how absolutely wonderful it all was. His family met me, in all my quirky glory :-P. I have no words to describe anything more.......The end, I guess ^_^.
^_^ awesome ^_^
