*sigh*

A note for all athletes:

Retirement is no fun at all. Sleeping (or trying to sleep) next to your boyfriend knowing that you'll only have that for another month or so sucks. Stressing out about your new job sucks. A lot. So, my little word of advice?

DON'T RETIRE EARLY!

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Try being engaged to someone who plays in Tampa when you play in Edmonton. Yeah, not easy at all lol.

No kidding. I might only get to see him twice a year, and that's if I'm in Windsor when he plays in Detroit...

Yeah, it's a hard thing to do. You just have to decide if it's worth it or not, and if it is, you make it work. Me and Johnny would fly out to see each other as much as possible. Next season should hopefully be easier because we won't have such a tough schedule because of the Olympic break.

What's really weird is that I've already started dreaming about I-miss-you sex.

Oh! And add to that the fact that one of the main reasons I chose this career move was to see my kids during the season and now my ex-wife is thinking of moving them away from Windsor. THAT SUCKS HARD!
