I) In all seriousness, I really should have lost my Live Journal privileges a long time ago. I mean, come on now, I know people are busy but to NOT update a LiveJournal almost two months is just...so...wrong. My apologies to everyone who, like me, likes to look and read what's in people's profiles when they are bored. I hope this update---I call it "The Mind Of Michael W"--as I have a lot to say (go figure!) will keep people satisfied. A lot of this update will contain private jokes that only some of you will get, but, that's kind of fun, and it was bound to happen sooner or later, since I have so many wonderful, different, and great friends!!!
II) My new favorite song is "You are my sunshine...my only sunshine". The last time I really remember singing that song, besides this past Monday, was in grade school. Funny how songs remind you of specific places, people, events in your life. ;)
III) I have only played aroud with the digital camera that I received for my birthday, (see previous entry), a few times. It's really fun, and I wish I had more things to take pictures of. I am going to make a concentrated effort to take lots of pictures when I see my friends. My brother made this great "artwork" featuring tons of pictures, in both color, and black and white, of his friends. I may have to steal that idea.
IV) I was sad to see the Pope die. I understand he was very sick, and it was his time...but it's still sad. I am Catholic, and I feel kind of bad that I didn't know of all the wonderful things the Pope did. I was very impressed that the Pope apologized to those of the Jewish faith for not doing "much" during the Holocaust...it's about time.
V) In July of this year, the International Olympic Committee is set to chose the host city for the 2012 Summer Olympics. The main three cities in the running are Paris, New York, and London. A few weeks ago Lance Armstrong said he supported Paris, and lots of people in America felt "betrayed". In all seriousness, I really don't think New York has a chance...and I base this on of few factors. First and most important, is security. I think the world still have the 9/11 tragedy on their mind, and I don't think people are willing to bring the Olympics to N.Y. so soon. Secondly, N.Y. is crowded. I can't see brining a few MORE million people to the city. I hope it goes to London. Having been there I am biased, but I think London would be the best place to hold the Summer Olympics.
VI) Hi Mom!
VII) WRESTLEMANIA XXI was a few nights ago. Good stuff. It was fun watching it with Scott and Tara. What's even more exciting is that THE GREATEST SPECTACTLE IN SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT--WRESTLEMANIA XXII-- Is coming to CHICAGO in April, 2006. Woo Hoo! I will be sure to go!
VIII) Tara left on Monday, after spending ten days here. We had fun. We had some good times--dinner at Applebee's, shopping for Michigan State merchandise, Mario Kart, Rummy 5000. We had some bad times-- a few minor fights. But, overall, it was great to see her. It was the first time since November--four months-- since we saw each other! Thanks for coming, babe!
IX)I was sadden by the news a few days ago that Peter Jennings, anchor of ABC, (the best network in the world), has lung cancer. Apparently, he was a smoker for twenty years. I hope he is ok. To everyone who smokes, stop it!
X) Shouts out to my good friends--TARA and SPICY-- for being the ONLY TWO to post comments asking where I have been, and why my LJ has not been updated. You guys ROCK, and deserve your own comments in this entry. ;)
XI) I haven't had Olive Graden in a while....perhaps I will have them this weekend. Good stuff!
XII) My trip to California was good times! It was fun going to Knott's again. Lots of good rides, good people, good times. The weather was nice all but one day. But the traffic is Cali is another story--you simply have to experience it to understand!
XIII)Tara, my girlfriend, got accepted into the Disney College Internship program for the fall. She will be down there August through January. Way to go babe! See, I told you that you would get in! ;)
XIV) Opening Day for Cedar Point is Saturday, May 7. Good times!
XV) Has anyone seen the movie SIDEWAYS? I so want to buy it, as it looks great, but I would like to get some reviews from some friends of mine who have seen it first. Can anyone help?
XVI) I meet some eighteen-year-old boy the other day while I was in the waiting room of my doctor's office. Without going in to too much detail about him, he's not doing well, and not responding to the medication. He won't be able to graduate this year with his friends, because he's not well enough to take his exams and finish up. Say a prayer for him, please. He was a really, really nice guy.
XVII) As always, comments are expected, and appreciated!
