I’m 31 weeks today and doing great. Baby is kicking and rolling away. Most everything was great at my last midwives appt. I do have low blood pressure, 90/40 (It makes me super dizzy and prone to fainting) so I’ve really been hitting the Iron and chlorophyll supplements because I’m still having issues with eating. I’m not vomiting anymore I just don’t want to eat. Food is completely unappealing to me. I have only gained about 12 pounds so far. While this isn’t terribly low, by this point w/ Stelli I have gained 20+. I still feel great, not to many aches and pains, I am worried about saying this though because once I acknowledge this pregnancy hasn't been terrible since about 18 weeks I know it will take a turn down hill. But all in all baby is doing great, although he is posterior .
I’m not babysitting anymore so me and Stelli have had to find things to keep us busy lately. We have signed up for library classes on Tuesday morning and music classes Monday mornings. The other days are spent at the park, zoo, playdates, or the Children’s Museum. Oh and sometimes I get a huge nesting instinct and I decide to take on some crazy house hold project.
Projects
So far I have:
Rearranged the kids room
Washed all the baby’s clothes/diapers
Made a new soft structured carrier
Decluttered and organized the attic w/ help from my mom
Gotten the baby’s car seat washed and put together
Dyed tons of prefolds
Started collecting all the birth supplies
Purged 90% the rest of the house of un needed things
Things I still need to do:
Finish knitting the babe and Stelli’s matching hats
Finish getting birth supplies including messing w/ the pool
Rearrange our bedroom
Rip out the garden
Get the holidays organized: where we will be and gifts
Buy myself a Didymos
Today is Nick’s birthday but he is in Mississippi for work. I just want him to come home so I can give him some birthday love. The poor guy works all the time it seems. He drove 10 hours to Mississippi yesterday, is working 8 and then driving back 10 hours this afternoon. That is at least 28 hours of work in less that 40 hours. And then tomorrow he gets to get up bright and early and install windows at our house with his dad. The man never gets a break. I think I’m going to get a massage for him for his birthday. He has put 5,000 miles on his car in less then 2 weeks, its insane. They also made him a team leader though so that will be nice come raise time. I shouldn’t complain much because they are being really easy going about the baby and super flexible about him taking time off when he needs it.
Stelli is great! She’s learning her letters and knows about 13-14 by sight and can sing her alphabet song. She is particularly obsessed w/ letters and the show “Super Why” on PBS. All she does know is pretend to read things. It’s so adorable. On the other hand she pretty much hates numbers. She can count to 15 but that’s it. She refuses to learn them by sight. Oh well she can’t stay number illiterate for life right? She knows most of her colors, most of the time (thank you M&Ms) and likes shapes a lot. She is also really in to make believe and pretend.
She has an imagery friend named Gilbert. We aren’t sure what Gilbert is he’s not a person and she won’t identify if he is some type of animal. He just magically appears usually riding along on a piece of sting or yarn. He isn’t the piece of string or yarn but his on it… odd I know. I accidentally sat on him the other day and you would have thought the world came to an end. Oh and have you ever tried to find someone/something that is invisible when its lost. It’s very hard. I spent 10 mins looking for Gilbert the other day when Stelli told me he was lost. She told me I left him at the store and I told her it was her responsibility to make sure he got back in the car with us from now on. She thought that was reasonable. I feel like I have a 2 year old who is going on 14 sometimes.
That’s about it. Nothing else to report.
