(no subject)
Soo, today I got a call on my cell, but by the time I reached it, naturally, it stopped. And a few minutes later I got a text, from Steven, asking me to call him asap.
To cut the long story short (involving a painful battle to get my mother off the phone) I now have a job in Christchurch! *squee*
(Steven, if you don't recall, owns the string of shops known as Divine Cakes throughout NZ. He's a family friend, and offered me a job. So I have to fill out a form once I'm back in Chch that he's going to leave for me at Riccarton, hand it back before Monday afternoon, and my training starts on Thursday, involving half-days on Saturday and Sunday ^_^ Am so excited. This means I can drive to Christchurch this weekend! Cause Mum was not letting me cause she doesn't think I can drive. But now she has to let me, cause I'll need the car if I'm having a job.
The house thing is still on a stand-still. My parents are going back up tomorrow to try sorting out a house again. (There's high hopes for this one, it's in Northshore at Waimairi Beach, etc, etc, but there were high hopes for all the other houses, too, so while I wish them luck I'm not holding my breath).
So no updates for a while cause there hasn't been anything to update. I've been either
a) doing work (largely involving doing the write-out for the law essay - I now have all the info, just need to put it into play - and typing up my notes)
b) playing with photoshop (going layout-and-wallpaper mad. Zvezda's going to go through another revamp, and I got bored and made a layout for NeferKem)
c) bumming around online (mostly reading up old favourites like the Draco Veritas trilogy and the Evil Overlord list)
And this weekend will mark the end of my holidays and the start of uni. Not looking forward to the uni, as I've that stupid essay to do, and a Spanish journal that she'll make us do (cause Florencia likes cruel and unusual punishments like that) and eugh, speaking of which Hamish texted me today, which was greatly disturbing. But I am looking forward to seeing everyone again, particularly Matt and Nicki. (Sadly Lu goes on holiday when I finish, so I won't see her for another 2 weeks. But I texted her today and she's coming to Timas on friday, so we can go see Raise your voice with that hot guy in it from What a girl wants.
