30-Day Challenge - Day 5

Oh look, slowly but surely...
Day 5 - The place a character sleeps.

In his tiny apartment on campus and in the control room at work. Pascal goes to sleep so late it’s early and sleeps around 4 hours a day. Which explains why he likes coffee so much. He sleeps better at work - all those humming machines give him some sense of purpose while his room pretty much stands for how empty his life would be if it wasn't for his work and McFael's team.

Makes me think of this song.

And while being very accurate about his job Pascal’s just as messy when it comes to everything else. He keeps knocking stuff over but it’s not that he can’t clean up after himself - he just doesn’t consider it important enough as long as he can find what he needs. Somewhere.

And a bonus story while we’re at it: when I was a kid my parents had a stack of empty pizza boxes that was taller than me. It stood in the kitchen, in a small nook near the door (later they cleared it out and put Ikea shelves there instead). Bringing kids from school home wasn't encouraged but when somebody did come the visitor would look at it awed and ask “Did you really eat all that pizza?” and I’d modestly reply “Well, not all at once...” I miss those times.
