(no subject)
Things that have happened since being home since December 16th:
1)On the car ride home my dad and I were right behind a major accident on I-83. Supposedly a man had stopped to change his tire and someone had stopped to help. A pregnant woman who was speeding hit one or both of the men. I'm not sure about the whole story and was not able to find anything online. It was really scary. If we had left Subway a minute earlier we could have been in the accident as well. They stopped traffic on the opposite side of the interstate so that a helicopter could land and take victims to the hospital. We stood next to this woman and talked to her. The major thing on her mind was why weren't they trying to turn around all of the cars and let them go out the previous exit. It was hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that that was the major thing on her mind. Not, "Oh, maybe there is someone who lost there life only about 200 feet away from me. That man laying in the road might be dead." I do not understand how people think sometimes. I do not understand where people's priorities are sometimes.
2)Buying Christmas present.
3)Baking of cookies and making of Chex mix.
4)I have watched Charmed and Top Chef a lot. And when I say a lot I mean all the time.
5)I was scheduled to work. I worked yesterday night. It wasn't too bad. Not much has changed, besides some new faces and the fact that they rearranged the dining room. Tony asked, "Why did you come back here?" "Money," I said.
6)I received a Christmas bonus at work. $25 cash and a $25 gift certificate to Wegmans. Pretty nice considering I haven't worked there since mid- or late-August. Except there was this kid who just quit when I called about working. I'm pretty sure they gave me his bonus even though he worked way more hours than me. I lucked out.
7)Our new puppy is adorable. Luther plays this games where he barks and has you chase him around the dining room table. Sometimes during it I'll run out of the room into the family room and hide behind a piece of furniture. He'll run in to find me and I'll jump out and he'll howl. He has part hound in him so he'll howl a lot.
