Notes: Sequel to Heartbreaker, about the same dress, only yahtzee63 asked for WWBH. So I tried.
She shows up at his apartment two nights later.
"You didn't look at me."
"I thought it better not to."
She's wearing the same dress, and he's looking at her now. He realizes anew why it was better not to look at her with Sydney in the vicinity. She smiles at him coyly. "Can I come in?"
The shoes are impressive as well, dangerously high with a thin heel, and it alters the way she walks.
"Do you like it?"
When he responds, his hands are on her waist. She's almost eye-level. "How'd you get this?"
"Checked it out. Said someone brushed against me, I wanted to make sure I didn't miss something." She lowers her voice. "I also said I wanted to make sure that the dress couldn't stop a man's heart. They thought it was a joke." She leans up to kiss his jaw, teasingly light. "So you better be careful."
"They think it was all the dress?"
"Mm," she affirms, kissing his throat. He thinks of her in other outfits that he'd found attractive and realizes that this is by far the most visually appealing.
"And if it had worked?"
She looks up at him with complete sincerity, which is when she looks most like her mother. "Then," she drawls, "We'd have to use it more often."
