( sooo i kinda cheated with the time frame which is why i crossed it off but its ok. please forgive me, it's my first time writing these two because i am aboard the blam ship especially since last night's episode ;-; i love the idea of these two together. these are far from drabbles i think. also this is somewhat au, at least with their past because i've added the whole dalton theory & sadie hawkins theory there. please enjoy <3 )

iTunes Drabble Meme
How it works:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do 10 of these, then post

1) Rumor Has It - Adele
"You and I have history Or don’t you remember? Sure, she’s got it all. But, baby, is that really what you want?
Bless your soul, you’ve got your head in the clouds,She made a fool out of you,
And, boy, she’s bringing you down,
She made your heart melt,But you’re cold to the core,
Now rumour has it she ain’t got your love anymore"

They had history. Unspoken history. Not revealed to anyone in New Directions and never spoken of since then. Sam should be over this history he had with Blaine. It was years ago and he’s moved on completely. But whenever he sees Kurt and Blaine together, he gets his gut wrenching feeling in his chest. Like when you eat bad seafood type of feeling, and those kind of feelings are never good. He just sees the way Blaine looks at Kurt and he gets these stupid flashbacks on how he looked at him just the same way. It’s a stupid feeling really. He pushes it aside, dates other girls, and does try to fall in love but it never feels right.

But now, now Blaine was single. Moping and all but single. And Sam decides to be his friend first, before anything, thinks this time he wont screw it up. He hopes not.

2) V.I.P. -  Ke$ha
”There ain’t no scene in the V.I.P for me
So you can take your class, shake your ass, and drown in that martini.
Cause there ain’t no scene in the V.I.P for me”

“You sure you want to do this, dude?” Sam asks Blaine as they’re park into a bar not to far from Lima, one that Sam is able to sneak them in at thanks to a bartender he previously worked with when he was at the strip club. Blaine was dressed in a collared shirt and pants, more casual than usual or well, less bowties. No bowties are good.

“Yeah. I just need a night out. I need to go out.”

Right when they enter the bar, Blaine drowns himself in alcohol and Sam is his DD so he gets himself some root beers and just stays posted by the bar making sure Blaine doesn’t do anything too stupid. But he’s having fun; he’s laughing and smiling and it’s a better sign than his moping around. He was getting better now, after that talk Sam had with him about not leaving McKinley.

Within all the flashing lights, the foggy air and the pounding music, he watches Blaine stumble over him with a goofy grin, hair a little more than out of place and says in his ear “Come on Sammy, dance with me” and before Sam even replies, he gets tugged to the dance floor. And well, he doesn’t complain.

3) Camera/Good Ones Go - Drake
"Don’t you go getting married, don’t you go get engaged
I know you’re getting older, don’t have no time to waste
I shouldn’t be much longer but you shouldn’t have to wait
Can’t lose you, can’t help it, I’m so sorry, I’m so selfish"

This should be weird for a bro to be dancing with a bro. Sam would feel conscious about that. If he was in McKinley that is. He was not even one to show the slightest interest in men over there. It was suspected before, but it was dismissed the moment Sam was dating Quinn. And it wasn’t that he didn’t have interest in women, he really did, he tried to fall in love with several women, but it just didn’t seem to follow through. But with Blaine, it just felt…right being with him. He wasn’t self-conscious of dancing with Blaine here at the bar, wasn’t self-conscious on the way their bodies moved against each other or if anyone was looking. This was the closest they been physically since Dalton. He liked it.

As the bar closes, they sit in Sam’s car (or borrowed car from the Hummels, in which he helps pay for the gas ) outside of the Anderson residence, waiting until Blaine sobers up before Sam drops him off.

“That girl was so hitting on you!” Blaine exclaims in his between his drunken giggles and Sam pushes him back, laughing.

“Dude, that was not a girl, that was so a dude in a dress. I thought you were the one who could call these things.”

“Whatever, I thought you were the one who didn’t drink”

“Or you obviously drank too much” Sam snorted but he just grins at Blaine. They both sighed, Blaine’s laughter slowed down, and he seemed to be okay now. "Come on" Sam unbuckles his seat belt and walks him to his door, making sure he doesn't trip on anything.

“Did you have fun?” Sam asked quietly and Blaine nods, smiling up at the taller one. Sam just wants to kiss him then and there, even if he'll taste like alcohol. He pushes that thought out from his head and instead he pulls him into a hug.

“You deserve better, Blaine.” And before Blaine says anything, Sam quickly says goodnight and returns to his car.

4) Forget About Love ( Aladdin 2 )
Forget about romance
Forget about the way your heart begins to dance
Then you feel the blush
When he’s spouting out some sentimental mush

Blaine Anderson stumbles into his room, head spinning and he plops on his bed, closing his eyes and hoping that by laying down his head will stop the spinning and he’ll immediately drift into sleep. But instead, his mind immediately brings him to Sam’s words before he left and that seemed to replace the spinning instead. Those words tied in with flashbacks on how the way Sam was dancing with him, the way Sam has been there for him lately since the breakup with Kurt, their time in Dalton, the Sadie Hawkins dance, and times when he was just with him. And he starts to smile.

"No. Stop. Blaine. Dont put yourself in this hurt again. You guys broke up before, it will just be same again. Besides, he’s into girls now."

He agrees with his conscious and brushes any thoughts of Sam away and just sleeps it off.

5) Long Live - Taylor Swift
"Hold on to spinning around
Confetti falls to the ground
May these memories break our fall
Will you take a moment, promise me this
That you’ll stand by me forever"

They dont really speak much about what happened that night. Sam just thinks that Blaine doesn’t remember it all and Blaine doesn’t bring it up and they return to being best friends. It’s suppose to be like this anyways. They’re just best friends after all, bros after all. They needed to focus on the Glee Club and Sectionals.

It was the end of the Warblers performance, and Sam finds Blaine standing on the side of the stage off by himself.

“Hey. They’re gonna announce the winners, let’s go man, everyone else is on stage” Blaine looks up to Sam and he has that look in his eye, a look of uncertainty.

“Did I perform good?” Blaine asks Sam and Sam gives this dumbfounded look and scoffs with a serious tone.

“No”

Blaine was about to drop his head, about to internally criticize himself before Sam clamps his hand on his back.

“You did great” he said as he looked right in his eyes and Blaine looks back, eyes brightening and that’s the look he prefers to see on his friend's face. Before staring at him too long, Sam playfully shoves Blaine. and walks ahead on stage with him.

“And this year’s sectional winner is….......McKinley High’s New Directions!”

The room fills up the crowd cheering as the confetti rains upon them. Finn holds up the trophy high in the air and everyone is screaming in joy, hugging each other. Sam mouthes out to Blaine “told you so’ and Blaine couldn’t help but laugh before joining in the group hug.

6) Such Great Heights - The Postal Service
“When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home”

Their relationship was carefree, simple, easy, as young love was. They were barely teenagers at the time, fresh in high school. All started out in the summer, and lasted past that despite being in different schools. Sam was in Dalton and Blaine was in another school, but he transfered to Dalton soon after the incident in Sadie Hawkins. They both had a love for music and they sang together, Sam strumming along to his guitar as they sat in their dorm room and Blaine sang along with him, harmonizing perfectly along with Sam’s voice.

“You should join the Warblers, Sammy! Come on, please? It would be fun. Imagine both of us singing on stage! Infront of large crowds.” Blaine joyfully pleaded to him as he sat infront of him on his bed.

“I dont know if I could sing without my baby here” Sam patted his guitar close to his chest "...or if I'm good enough to sing in a group" he then admitted with a sheepish smile. Blaine was about to pout until Sam reached over, hand grazing over his cheek.

“Hey. I’ll be there for you, watching all your shows, front row. Besides I like these intimate jam sessions with you. I get to keep you away from the rest of the guys” Sam winked over at him and Blaine snorts at the cheesy line but obivously appreciated it, leaning forward to kiss him.

Sam Evans now stands in the auditorium as he practices a group number with the rest of the glee club. He turned to Blaine, finding him already staring back at him and he doesn’t break eye contact and just smiles back. Who would’ve known that Blaine’s plea seemed to come true? Yet despite performing together, they weren’t exactly performing together.

7) The Lazy Song - Bruno Mars
“Today I don’t feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don’t feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone ‘
Cause today I swear I’m not doing anything”

“And so…the sum root of…-”

“I’m done” Sam says suddenly, closing his math book and gets up from the living room. Blaine looks up from his book, eyebrows crossing a little.

“Sam we have to finish this homework, it’s due Monday.”

“And it’s Saturday, Blaine. We can do it later. We need a break anyways. Man, I thought this Algebra stuffwould be easy, guess not.” Sam starts to wander around the living room, stretching out his arms and Blaine just shakes his head.

“To be in the student body, you got to keep your grades up.”

“I know. That’s why I have you to tutor me.” he replies with a grin as he walks around the living room, looking around for something specific and Blaine rolls his eyes before he gets up as well to grab a glass of water for himself.

“You know if you’re hungry, the pantry’s over there” He hears Blaine call out to him, feeling his eyes watch him with a confused look on his face wondering what exactly Sam was looking for.

“No I’m-oh here it is” He reaches over to pick up a guitar by the corner of the room next to the piano, dusting it off. “Mind if I borrow your brother’s guitar?”

“Sure. I mean. Just dont try to sell it on ebay like that one time you took his toothbrush.” Blaine chuckles as Sam points over at him.

“Hey. That could’ve made me big money” he states before he finished up tuning the guitar and he begins to play and sing.

“Today I dont feel like doing anything”  Blaine watches him from the kitchen as Sam begins to sing, walking over to him. “I just want to lay in my bed-come on dude, you know this song.”

“I dont feel like si-”

“picking up the phone~ I’m not gonna sing it by myself, bro.”

Blaine stares at him intently before letting sigh and giving in, a small smile creeps on his face

“…So leave a message at the tone” Sam beams happily as he lets Blaine continue singing the rest before joining in once more.

8) Us - Regina Spektor
“We’re living in a den of thieves
Rummaging for answers in the pages
We’re living in a den of thieves
And it’s contagious”

They spend the rest of the night singing to songs they know by heart as they were sitting on the couch, not aware of all the time that passed by. Blaine starts laughing hysterically when Sam attempts to rap Kanye West’s part of 'Knocks You Down'.

“That was…so bad.” Blaine points out in between his laughter and Sam stops rapping to laugh along with him.

“Hey man, you gotta admit that I got the impersonation down.”

“Like you always do, Sam, like you always do.” And they sat there, they couldn’t stop smiling at each other and it becomes silent for a moment.

"Just like old times, right?” Blaine says quietly, his smile softens for a moment and Sam doesn’t break away from his gaze.

“Yeah…like old times.”

And instantly, Blaine notes the way Sam begins to slowly lean in towards him. His eyes widen and his brain starts to jumble and wonder if he should let him or not let him or push him or pull him in or…

“I think…you should get going now. It’s getting late” Blaine immediately interjects as he scoots back, not sure what is reflected in his own eyes but he immediately sees the look in the blonde’s eyes. A mix of confusion and hurt and following with a sad acceptance.

“Right.” Sam clears his throat and immediately stands up, putting the guitar back in it’s rightful place as he begins to pack up his books in his backpack. And Blaine sits there, frozen with this wide-eyed look on his face.

Just like old times.

9) Come Back, Be Here. - Taylor Swift
This is falling in love in the cruelest way,
This is falling for you and you are worlds away.

That was stupid. That was so stupid. Why did he even try that? Sam mentally beats himself over it as he drove home. Monday rolls along and he doesn’t look at Blaine the whole day. Even during their student council meeting, he sits across from him because he just couldn't stand to be near him. God what was he thinking? He was supposed to be his friend first but he thought maybe, just maybe, he had some sort of chance, some sort of opening that he could be part of Blaine’s life like how it was before. After the meeting, Sam walks into the parking lot, unlocking his car.

“Sam!”

He turns to find Blaine running to him before he stepped inside and Sam tries his best to look calm.

“Hey. Sorry I’m kind of in a hurr-”

“What was that about? Saturday night?” Blaine asks quickly, catching his breath.

“Uh...singing? It was just practicing for glee club.”

“Bullshit. That’s not it.” Blaine's eyes narrowing at him as he frowns. “You..you almost kissed me. I dont get it. Why?”

Sam sighs to himself, closing the door, but his fingers was still clenched around the door handle.

“I still have feelings for you, okay? I dont know if it just grew since we ran together for student body or since we got passed all the crap we went through or just being there for you since you and Kurt broke up. But it’s there, Blaine and I’ve been fighting it forever. Everything that we had together has been replaying in my mind over and over and it’s like a stupid movie that you cant press stop to. All these things run through my mind; the way you look at me and smile and even when you get that sad look in your eyes every now and then. And here I am thinking that I could be there for you. I could be the better man.” Blaine stares at him, no longer a harsh gaze but more of a confused one.

“....Sammy. I just…I dont know if--”

“And that’s exactly it, Blaine. You’re still hurt. I did my best to be there for you as your best friend, thinking ‘I can do this the right away. I could have a second chance’ but even then, I always would think I’d always be compared to Kurt. That he would always be on your mind and-”

“That’s not true.”

“Then why would you pull away when I tried to kiss you?” Sams’ teeth was now clenched and Blaine remains silent, looking down at the concrete below him.

“I’m…scared. I’m scared that I’ll get hurt again.” Blaine mutters in reply.

“I wouldn’t hurt you ” The tone of his voice softens now, less angry and more defeated “But I know you’ll never take me back, no matter how hard I try.” He opened up his car door, staring at the steering wheel before glancing at Blaine one last time before stepping in. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

10) He Wont Go - Adele
“There will be times
We’ll try and give it up
Bursting at the seams, no doubt
We’ll almost fall apart then burn the pieces
To watch them turn to dust
But nothing will ever taint us”

The rest of the days felt slow since Monday. Sam believed that he officially screwed it up. Just when he thought he patched it up with Blaine and return to being an important part of his life, he rips open those stitches and it's back to the way it was before Sam and Blaine became friends again. He decided to take his mind off it; practicing harder on football practice, hanging out with Brittany and others at glee club and actually do some studying alone (even though that was pretty tough.). Whenever Blaine glances his direction, Sam turns away from him. Whenever they practiced for regionals, Sam would stand on the other end of the stage. He didn’t mean to cut Blaine completely out, but he needed to keep his distance for now as he did before and before again.

It was Friday and the end of the school day, and Sam opens his locker to find a note fall out of it. “Meet me in the auditorium” The perfectly neat handwriting belonged to no other than Blaine. He sighed to himself as he was about to crumple it and throw it in the trash can. Instead he decided to be a man, tough it out and go see him. Blaine is probably just seeking out closure on the whole ordeal a few days ago. So Sam walks off and enters the auditorium, looking around for the brunette.

“As you know I…express myself better in song.” he hears Blaine’s voice as he appears on stage, hands stuffed inside his pockets as he approached the mic stand. “So just listen carefully.”

Sam just nods quietly before he leans forward on the railing, watching him. The music begins to play and Blaine sings an Adele song.

“Some say I’ll be better without you
But they don’t know you like I do
Or at least the sides I thought I knew
I can’t bear this time
It drags on as I lose my mind
Reminded by things I find
Like notes and clothes you left behind”

Sam watches Blaine get into the song, watching the emotions pouring out with every word, every lyric.

“And I wont go, cant do it on my own. If this aint love then what is? I’m willing to take the risk”

There was a difference between the Blaine who performs for the crowds and for competition and the Blaine that just sings to you and you alone, and Sam knows the difference. When Blaine sings to you, he gets you to understand and feel everything he is feeling on that stage, transferring every emotion into the words of the songs he sings.

The song began to end and Blaine opens his eyes, a sadden look on his face. Sam walks away from the railing and joins him on stage, clearing his throat a bit.

“I’m sorry, Sam.” Blaine tells him immediately. Sam sighs to himself figuring it’s the 'sorry that I cant be with you', 'sorry lets just be friends', or' sorry I’m still in love with a guy who’s miles away'. Blaine grabs his hand, tightly holding onto it.

“I’m sorry for... not trusting you. You…did nothing but be there for me and showed that you actually care about me through all of this. I've...thinking about you alot lately but I always think back and wonder, what if I screw this up like I did before with you and with Kurt?” Tears start to form around the rim of Blaine’s eyes and his voice cracks but he does his best to remain the cool and composed Blaine Anderson he usually is. “And that’s why I push away, thinking you deserve better, much better than me." He paused, squinting his eyes a little before he continued. "But I cant stand the thought of losing you either. Not again. It’ll be different right? I want to try but..I dont want to mess it up” Sam notes the way Blaine is blinking back the tears and his hand begins to tremble and he immediately clamps his other hand over Blaine’s.

“Hey, hey, hey, stop.” Sam whispers to Blaine quietly as his thumb began to rub against the skin of the other’s hand. “You’re not going to lose me, okay? I’m here. I’m always here. We had a rough patch at the start but I’m here now and we can work this out. If it takes time, then okay, but I promise you that it’ll be different than before. You want to know why?” His hand moved up to graze Blaine’s cheek before cupping the side of his face.

“Because I love you, Blaine Anderson. I’ll fight for you. I’m not letting you leave my life and I promise I wont leave yours.” He wipes his tears away from the other's face even if he was blinking back his own. “We can do this again. We’ll make it right again. But…only if you’re okay with it. I dont mind waiting for you.”

Silence filled the stage before Blaine reaches to move his arm around Sam’s waist. “I’m okay with it. I trust you, Sam.” then he leans forward to press his lips against his.

It feels natural. it feels right, more than right, it feels perfect.

Sam Evans only feels this way with Blaine Anderson.
