http://www.flickr.com/photos/olton_hall/sets/72157607833632396/ It’s coming down to the wire for this little project isn’t it. Today I slept in. It was somewhat nice sleeping until 9:30 AM. I can’t remember the last time I slept over nine and a half hours. Of course I felt a little groggy from doing so.
So what did I do today? I got my little tiller out to loosen up dirt so I can regrade the area that use to be the pile of concrete. That is turning out to be a slow task. First I dug up 5 loads of rocks that I put in the dumpster. Second was all of the tree roots which are what destroyed the patio in the first place.
The other big thing today was the start of a weekly trek to NYC for a NYU class. I’m not taking the class at NYU proper but at their Norman Thomas Center. Well it turns out that the Norman Thomas Center use to be an armory but was converted back in the early 70’s into shops, an office building, and the Norman Thomas High School. Yes, NYU’s Norman Thomas Center is a NYC Public High School during the day. Strange place. I had to go up about 10 escalators to get to the 7th floor.
Afterwards I was talking with a couple of people which meant I had to rush to catch the super express train. I got stuck at a bunch of traffic lights, passed a bunch of things I would have taken photos of for this project but I didn't, and what do I get for my troubles? I missed the train by one minute. So I had to wait 30 minutes for the next. At least it gave me time to eat something. I’m happy to say I was able to put my craving for pizza to rest. Part way home, the train in front of us broke down which meant my train was 45 minutes getting to my station. I completely missed the debate because of the delays.
Who knows what tomorrow brings.
