Sedona Weirdness

I'm trying to figure out why I'm cranky today.  Maybe it's the post holiday stuff of doing bills, going to the bank, getting the car washed, mowing the lawn, picking up train tickets for tomorrows trip to Boston, etc.

Two weird things happened while in Sedona. First was a sort-of Vortex thing. I was near one taking photos before sunset. I put my camera down to actually look around instead of through the view finder and I felt some strange surge in my legs. Now the weird part, the elder gentleman, part native American, who was a volunteer at the look out spot walked across to me and asked “Did you feel that?” I nodded yes somewhat bewildered. He replied “Only those with true inner spirit can feel here what others seek nearby” He then went back to greeting people. A bit weird I must say especially since he had to walk about 100 feet to me.

Ok the other weird thing. Some guy in a bar was obviously trying to get any guy for some action. I was talking with this women from Liverpool when the female bartender with way too many tattoos asked “What do you want to drink” I said “I’m still drinking this” holding up my bottle. She then said “The gentleman over there is buying people on your side of the bar drinks” . Well my response back to the bartender after seeing Mr. California with perfectly gelled hair was a polite no thank you but the bartender and the women I was with at the moment said the look of horror on my face was priceless and they wish they had a camera to capture the moment. Yes it was the first time a guy try to get me. At least I know I have options if I need them
. Needless to say this guy could not be discriminating on his taste for men if he considered me and this other guy whom we dubbed Forest Gump. He did get someone in the end and it did seem rather Broke Back Mountainish the way it happened and it was so quick and without and words.
