I found it.
Purely by accident I found my missing MetroCard and Oyster Card. It was in the second place that I looked, a pocket of a piece of luggage. I know I've looked in that pocket a few times since too. I was simply putting the bag into another bag when I saw it in plain sight.
On the plus side this exercise forced me to go through piles of papers that needed going through and clearing out. I found several things that were missing, some of which I didn't know was missing. The down side is I have to straighten up what's left and I'm behind schedule on re-painting the kitchen.
The toe I stubbed the other week is still bothering me a bit. I gets tender when I walk a lot. Hopefully it gets better before London in two weeks time.
I won't be able to do one thing I had hoped to do in London thanks to Network Rail. I was hoping to catch one of the first, if not the first train from St. Pancras to Gatwick as my day of departure is the first day rail service switches from Kings Cross Thameslink to St. Pancras. However, they are doing engineering work so no service until 8:45.
