Better late than never

I thought I had posted the following a week ago. I guess not. Needless to say I'm back doing the first paragraph but now it's blazingly hot outside.

After a good and tiring weekend I’m bored out of my mind baby sitting a contractor who messed up a project back in June. At the moment they are at Home Depot getting more tools and such so I’m stuck with nothing to do. I do have wifi access this time around but I’m avoiding a person so I don’t want to go inside to often to use it. I may have to miss a big reunion of people I use to work with on Wednesday night because this may go a day longer than expected. I’m not too crushed about missing it since I’ve run in many of the same people in the past two weeks. I will say that most of the people I’ve worked with in the company was great and that’s why we all still get together every year.

Ok this weekend. I was in Houston, TX at a big DO with Continental Airlines. I was got to remove an overwing emergency exit. It wasn’t that easy on the old models but the new ones are simple and don’t require strength. Word to the wise, don’t hold onto the red handle on the new ones. The door may pull you out. I was also in training simulator that was filled with smoke to simulate such a landing. You can’t see a thing in such a situation. Later that day was a giant party at the Houston airport. At one point I did something that felt really classy. I was walking down the marble stair case with glass railings, wearing a suit, holding a cocktail, while the jazz band played below.
