I'm studying today for a final at 2:00 and just took the best power nap. Sometimes I wonder what the MRI of a power nap looks like. I suppose I could look that up- I'm sure someone has done the research.
I am so frustrated with how much I forget. I have been "learning" about drugs and cannot remember things as easily as I used to. Andy says it is because I am older now and have my "world-view" already in place. His theory is that adults already have a framework and are less likely to pick up information unrelated to their world-view: part of why adults don't tend to chase after every new idea as if it is "the truth." Children can more easily absorb information because their world-view is not set yet: it also makes the more vulnerable to chasing after each new idea. All I know is that it makes it much harder to remember things from the beginning of the year. Hopefully another year or two of familiarity with the subject will help. Already I know more than I did last year- it's just a slower learning curve than I'd like.
Now, back to Calcium channel blockers, organic nitrates and anti-coags! AKA: drugs you should be on if you are over 50.
I need a new userpic badly.
