Well, it's been quite some time since I've gone ahead and written in this, but I needed the space to vent.
I am three weeks short of graduating and I can't seem to find all the footing necessary. I still am feeling a bit withdrawn from everything, although it's gotten better, at the very least, with the incorporation of Thursday nights to my schedule. Just gotta get down to the grind, I suppose.
Although this one time, I guess the grind has gotten itself to me. I'm approaching flat-broke again. I'm going home to grab extra money so I can pay the bills and senior week stuff, plus my one summer plan of going to my two DMB shows in Mansfield, thank you very much. I was planning on going to Vancouver, or the Gorge, or Seattle, or California...but it just won't happen this time around. Fucking hell.
And the real fucking nail for me today: I received my rejection from the University of Virginia. The one place I wanted to go...denied.
Needless to say, I'm going to be in a hole for a couple days.
As for the outro and title song...well, if you can't guess it, you really don't know me...

Strange, but it seems
There's mutiny brewing inside of me now
I don't want your pity
Just the promise that I'll be alright
'Cause I am the captain of this ship
Curious hands and fingertips
The same as it was
And will be until I'm gone
Ohh
I know
I'm a dreamer
Still
Think its strange
I won't be long for here
Ohh
But I know
That I feel
Wait and go again
Again
Oh look I'm buried
Like a cancer eating away inside of me
I don't want your pity
Only the promise that I'll be okay
Well, I am the captain of this ship
Curious hands and fingertips
The same as it was before here
Here
After all
Why should I be hypnotized
By the promise of a long life
Why should I hold hope in tiny, tiny dribbles that glide by
Why should I lean everything upon
I won't be here long
Ohh
I know I'm a dreamer
Still seems a truth
I won't be long for here
Ohh
It's so, but I think I'll lay this
On now your lips
I'm drowned
I am the Captain of
Oh
But I'll be okay after all
