13 weeks and counting!
So time flies when you're having fun eh? I guess I forgot to post for the past month. Everything went well with my second ultrasound, heart was nice and strong around 165. Here's a pic!
This one was on March 11th at 9w2d. Still looked like a blob. LOL!
So the past few weeks have been fun. Went and visited mom in the states and went shopping. She found me a nice pair of maternity jeans on clearance for $11!! Also go me a couple pairs of comfy pants.
Had my first midwife appointment with Isabelle on March 26th at just over 11wks. We got to hear the heart beat for the first time!! Also scheduled my next ultrasound which was for screening for downs syndrome and other problems. Not that I was worried about that, I just wanted the extra ultrasound. LOL!! So I got that done on April 2, at around 12.4 wks. This one took forever. Not sure if it was because the baby was moving around too much or because of my extra belly fat, but it seemed like I was laying on that table for an hour!! Here's the pic we got:
It actually looks like a baby now!!
I also went and bought a home doppler on Kijiji for $45. I figure its a good deal cause I can probably sell it for $60 when I'm done with it! I love it cause I can listen to the heartbeat whenever I feel like it! Helps put my mind at ease.
So I'm in the final few days of my first trimester... Time seems to be flying by so fast! Still feeling like crap though. Hoping that'll start to go away soon. Today is also my second day sans crazy pills. I weaned myself down to the lowest dose, and now I'm totally off them. So far I'm coping ok... Dreams are really vivid and my head feels like it's in a cloud. I think it might be making my nausea worse. I hope this goes away soon. Looking forward to feeling the baby move in the next month or two. Can't wait!!
